Post-Battle

It has been a week ever since the battle of the factions and everybody seemed to be doing okay already. I see all of the factions inside the guild hall, gathered while Dio is in front of us. “It has been a week already ever since the Battle of the Factions and I can’t forget how awesome and unforgettable that is! Congratulations to our winner, Edgeseekers!” Dio announced. A cheer appeared inside the guild hall along with laughs and roars and definitely table smashes. We won the battle of the factions arc thanks to the hard work of my teammates. “Who would’ve thought you’d be able to pull something like that?” Elio told me. “Honestly speaking I have no idea either, I just listened to what you guys had said.” I told them. “Listened to what we said?” Diether said. “Yeah, you guys told me to-” “We never said anything to you, god.” Percisca replied. That’s odd. How come I heard their voices talking at me. “What did you hear exactly?” Diether asked me. “Actually, don’t mind it. It’s probably just some mistake I had.” I told them. “Are you okay?” Elio asked me. “Yes, in fact I feel like celebrating for this win.” I told them. We all grabbed a glass full of beer. “Should you be really drinking alcohol, kid?” Elio said. “Shut up, this is not alcohol this is just butter juice.” Diether told us. Percisca laughed. “So is it just me or there’s somebody else here that I don’t know if she really belongs.” Elio said. Elio’s definitely provoking her. These past few days no actually – ever since we met Diether, this whole new side of Elio appeared. It’s like he is a totally different person than he is when I first met him. His will is still the same though but there’s this happiness inside him that I guess just came out of nowhere. Acquaintances. That’s the very first word that came into my mind after realizing the current situation that we are all in. Ever since I have been here in Ylgaea, I met a lot of people and they became my friends. Well not a lot I guess, there’s only three – if I were to include Percisca – but nevertheless, they all are very close to me now. I feel very attached with all three of them like I’ve known them for a very long time already and come to think of it, three to five months are already long enough for me to say that I did know them for a long already. After the party, we all went to our faction rooms. “Let me say this again but, is it just me or we have an extra person right here?” Elio said. “If you have been trying to get my attention all along, I must say congrats you’ve definitely caught it, idiot.” Percisca replied. “Ooh, you just got roasted.” Diether told Elio. “Oh yeah little kid?” Elio replied “Stop calling me little kid!” Diether told Elio. I laugh with their exchange of words and I realize I really did meet remarkable people and I don’t know what else I could possibly wish more than this. After a few seconds of laughing and exchanging jokes, the door suddenly smashed open and we all looked directly at it. We all thought there’s trouble but we were rather shocked by the people we saw. “It’s time to partaye!” someone surprisingly shout with a quite peculiar accent I never thought they’d actually visit our room, the Volant Argonauts. All six of them entered the room, six? I haven’t memorized yet if they’re actually six or just five but there were other people who went along with them, Prominent Enigmas and Divine Resonance. The factions we fought in the last round came here except for the Lightshades. They all stormed inside the room without informing us before they decided to stomp inside the room. I guess with all of us in here, the room is not as small as I think it really is. It has fitted about 10 or more people inside – not really every member of each faction went along with their members but the best I can say is that the leader of the three factions are with them. “Why are we just sulking inside this small room?” I glance at Spencer – Volant Argonaut’s faction leader – and smiled at him. He seems like a totally different person from who he was one week ago. I mean he still has this energetic side in him but I never actually thought he would be this friendly and socializing. “There’s no plan to be honest on what should we do.” I replied to Spencer. “What do you mean there’s no plan? There can’t be no plans, there should be a plan.” the leader of Prominent Enigmas told me. I am effortlessly ashamed on what is happening right now. The fact that we all fight each other a week ago is like the battle is nothing but just foreplay, a game or possibly, a dream.
