Knock...... Knock...... Knock...... Knock...... Knock...... Knock...... I heard in my dream as I realised that it was real. I immediately sat up on my bed rubbing my eyes before standing up to get it. When I opened the door, I meet the eyes of my mother. Those eyes searched me, looking me up to down as if I was a piece of trash. The fact I had morning hair doesn't mean that I deserve that look. "Are you just waking up" she asked the obvious. "What does it look like" I gave her silly question a fair replied. Although, Silence was my second option. "Miss behave yourself today, okay. Today,I have zero tolerance for whichever stupid attitude you want to throw" she said as she was now getting angry. "Just go into your room and get dressed up" she said, using her hand motion for me to go into the room. "Relax, it's not like I'm even going to school or anywhere today. Remember, I've been expelled from school" I said reminding her, just incase she forgot. "And that my dear, is where you are wrong" she said crossing her arms above her chest. "Yeah, tell me now that I was going to attend one of my lost cousin's wedding or-" I was saying when she cut me off. "I mean that..... The reason behind me waking you up early" she paused before adding "for you" then she sighed "Honey, your father decided that by 2:00pm, you should already be in Clifford" my mother said catching me off guard. 'Today, it's really today!' I cannot be going to Clifford today. I thought dad was going to change his mind but he didn't. I'm going to school by 2:00, or correction I should be in Clifford by 2:00pm today. "Now go get ready" mom said before walking away. I walked back into my room, only to see 11:45am on the clock which hung high up on the wall of my bedroom. Immediately I sprinted to the bathroom to shower. After showering I wore a white shirt and a blue high-waist jeans. Just causal. After dressing up, I started packing up my stuff. Obviously, yesterday I was just too lazy to pack anything. When I was done packing, I checked the time on my phone, it read 1:25pm. I hurriedly dragged my boxes down the hall. When I reached the top of the stairs, I saw my mom at the end of the stairs. She just stood there looking at me. Immediately I got to the end of the stairs, mom wrapped her arms around me. A warm embrace I surely would miss. I returned the hug. We just stood there for some minutes, enjoying eachothers company until I cleared my throat. "Um" I said as the hug turned akward. I think it was just akward for only me because of the look on mom's face. "Sorry" she apologized. "It's just that I'm going to miss you" she said as she kissed my forehead. Considering the fact that I was taller than her she had to stand on her toes, which was kinda funny. "I'm going to miss you too" I told her. It was true though to some of you thinking that I was just being sarcastic. My parents may be strict, okay very strict but that doesn't mean they don't love me. My mom is so warm, loving, comforting, caring and everything a mother can be to her child. But don't get me wrong, you do not want to get that woman angry. Anyways, for my dad he was just so strict and trust me when I say he got all his principles from the 16's. He was very hot-tempered. I think he forgets the difference between humans and robots, 'cuz sometimes he wants me to be one, a perfect. Smith don't do this, smith don't do that. I keep wondering if he was all perfect in his time. But in the end, in little ways he shows his love for me. "Your father is outside in the car waiting for you" mom said bringing me out of my thoughts and back to reality. "Oh" was the only word that came out of my mouth. I made my way towards the front door. On reaching it, I looked out and true to it I saw dad already sitting in the driver's seat of his car which was parked in the driveway. He sat there waiting for me. The news of me being expelled must have made him upset. Although, I didn't think it would make him this upset, 'cuz he should have been expecting it. Maybe he was upset because, normally, I used to top the class and was always the teachers pet, but now I am being sent to a boarding school for delinquents. I dragged my boxes alongside me and made my way over to the car. When I got closer I opened the trunk of the car and placed my boxes in it, then covered it back. Then I sat at the backseat of the car. For forty-five minutes of driving, the car was completely silent. We kept on driving that I could no longer recognise where we were now. All I could see were only grasses, trees, stones and a road path. Even the road path eventually started to be faint, that grasses now grew on it. 'Are we going in the right way' I thought to myself. Because it looked like we have lost direction of the way to go. Dad just kept driving to nowhere in particular, which was not helping. AT ALL. I opened the map on my phone to check where we were presently but I got nothing. Oh here's the reason, there wasn't even signal. Thanks to dad's brilliant plan of sending me to clifford, we or I, am lost in the woods. I just kept quiet and waited for the right time to call him out, probably when a wolf attacks the car. After 13 minutes of waiting, I could now see something other than brown or green. I spotted a building but it was too far from where we were so I couldn't really describe it. 'I guess we are on the right path.' As we got nearer I could see more features of the building. When we got to the front gate I could see an inscription of Clifford boldly carved into a golden plate on the top of the gate. The building which was once blurry was now very clear, making it possible for me to describe it. It looked like a prestigious school from the way the school's compound looks. Compared the environment surrounding the school which I would call a forest, the school compound tells otherwise. It was modern and shouted wealth. I turned to look at dad, I wonder just how much he paid for me to come to a delinquent school. Note the sarcasm. The huge buildings were covered in white paints, the flowers and grasses were well-tanned, trimmed and moled. There was a statue of a student, which I guess must be very important. As elegant as it looked it was also simple. As we made our way through the main door of the administrative building, it looked as if the whole reception was polished. I was afraid my shoes were going to stain the tile by leaving tracks as I took every step. I was now very self-conscious with every action I took. We were directed to the main office by a staff. On reaching there, dad knocked on the door and waited for a response before walking in. When I stepped in I saw a middle-aged woman by the desk, she was probably the principal's secretary. She was on the phone, when she noticed we've already stepped in she smiled at us before she ended the call. "Good afternoon sir" the secretary greeted dad. "Good morning" dad replied, before saying. "I'm here to drop her off" he told her. The secretary looked at some papers on her desk. Before she smiled again and looked up "Mr. Smith, the principal had been waiting" she said politely before standing up and opening the door to the principal's office for us to enter. "Good morning Mr. Smith" the principal said, standing up to shake dad's hand. "Good morning" dad replied, taking the seat opposite from the one the principal say in. Leaving me standing by his side like a bodyguard. "You must be Mr. Smith and she should be the young delinquent" the principal said, shifting stares from my dad to me and back to my dad. "Yes" my dad briefly answered the principal's question. This is just great, nice job principal for reminding him that his daughter is now a 'delinquent'. "Ms, this is your daily schedule and locker number" the principal handed me some papers. I took the paper blankly staring at it, hardly understanding one word in it. "Okay sir, you may leave" the principal said before turning to me and said. "A student should show you around" "What about the-" the principal cut him off. "Don't worry, your daughter would be okay. She should be independent. She is above seventeen, right" he asked dad. "Yes" dad replied. Giving me one last worried look, dad now agreed with the principal. "I'll be leaving now. Be good, Okay" he said to me. "K" I replied. Dad nodded to my reply, before leaving the office. "You must be terribly hurt" the principal suddenly said, almost startling me. "What" I said as I took in what he just said. He sighed. "I said you must have been terribly hurt" the principal replied, repeating himself. "Excuse me?" I asked him, just for reassurance. The principal raised an eyebrow at my reaction. "What" he asked. "What makes you think you can just ask about my personal life" I asked, being irritated by the principal's shitty attitude. "You are in my school, and here you follow by my instruction" he said. "Well hello, I'm Jade and in my life I've got rules which you've got to follow" I replied. He just sighed and picked up some papers on his desk, which I assume we're my results from my previous school. "Some years ago, your grades were high and you were always one of the best students in your previous school" the principal said. "But now your grades have dropped, and you are now a delinquent" he said. "I am not a delinquent" I scoffed at his statement. "Sure you aren't" he said searching his desk drawer for something. I just rolled my eyes at him. "So, who hurt you" he asked again. Is he that stupid, he should know I wasn't gonna answer that. I stood there in silence. When the principal noticed the silence, he looked up and arched an eyebrow, probably waiting for my answer. "Why should I answer you?" I asked him. Just when he was about to reply I spoke again "you know what, just give me the keys to my room so I can leave here. I reeks of 40's." "Of you are in that much of a hurry then" he said picking up a mini microphone from his desk. "Mr. Hart, report to the principal office" he announced into the microphone, the continued working on his laptop. I looked around realising that I haven't gotten the chance to take this place in at all. The desk was brown, matching the carpet underneath it. At a corner of the room, a shelf stood tall with so many books that I wasn't sure I could carry. And then, the air conditioner. Another thing I noted was that, unlike my previous school this one's principal is a male. He looked like someone who had gone through a hole lot in life. He probably should be in his late fifties. Uh, and he was rude and very nosy. The sound of a door shut brought me back to reality. I turned around to see who it was. A boy with blonde hair and green piercing eyes stood there. We shared eye contact for some seconds before he walked walked to talk to the principal. Saying he was handsome would be an understatement, he was the correct description of HOT. I forgot that I was still in the principal's office until I heard. "Hey, hi" the blonde boy said waving a hand at my face. "Are you sure she is okay" he turned asking the principal. I noticed he had a British accent, which I find funny. Oh no, I was lost in his perfect looks to realise that I have already started to drool. 'why was his hair so perfectly gelled back' I thought. "I'm fine, just...." I said not knowing what to use to complete that. "Just?" He asked. "Yeah, just!" I replied, getting a chuckle from him. He just rolled his eyes then said "Anyway, this way" he said, gesturing towards the door with his hand. When we got our of the principal's office he said. "I'm Ryan, Ryan Hart. You can just call me Ryan, for the benefit of time. I would be showing you around the school and if anytime you need anything, you could ask me" he said with a bright smile plastered on his face. "I would try my best to remember that" I said sarcartically. "You haven't told me your name yet" he said. "Oh, sorry. It's ariana grande" I told home with a bright smile. He chuckled. "I'm not dum" "I thought you were" I said with a sceptical look. "Tell me the truth, what's your real name" he said laying emphasis on real. "Megan, Megan thee stallion" I said extending my hand for him to shake. Rolling his eyes, he ignored my hand and with with a sarcastic tone. "Okay Megan, follow me to your dorm room" Then he turned a corner. I copied his movements for the five minutes we spent walking. Then he stopped at the front of a door with the number '548' written in black on a golden plate. "This is your dorm room" he said, handing me a key. On the key the same number '548' was still unscripted on it. "In about thirty minutes meet me at the hall for your orientation" he said. "Where is this hall you speak of and why would I need an orientation?" I asked him mimicking his British accent. "The hall is two right turns and then a left turn. Why you need an orientation is because I need to show you around the school and tell you some of it's major rules and regulations. The orientation is to help you to get familiar with the school environment, to be familiar with some places in it, and easily blend in tomorrow with the students." He replied giving detailed answers to my questions. "Oh" I said. He smiled before saying. "I should leave now so you could get settled down" he said before turning around and leaving. I walked into my room to find a bed with bedside table, reading desk with a chair, a bathroom, and most importantly a night lamp. The room and bathroom were well equipped and decorated. I sat on my bed and closed my eyes for a few seconds, slowly drifting off to dreamland. ***** A/N: OMG!, I'm so proud of myself. Although to some expert writers this chapter is short but so far this is the longest I have ever written. All votes and comments matters so please vote and comment. Love you. QUESTIONS: Do you think jade and Ryan would end up together. Would they make a cute couple. RYADE or JYAN. You can also drop your opinion in the comment section. AISIELLA
