Zane was right. Everyone seems to have noticed my new attire. Girls are staring at me with hate and open envy. Guys I have known, well, know of, my entire life are now looking at me like the boys in movies, watching the popular girls walk down the halls. (Que glowing aura and hair blowing in the wind with the latest pop song singing in the background.) I never wanted extra attention. I just wanted to be normal for once in my life. To feel comfortable in my own skin. To feel confident in myself. But with all of these people staring at me all day in the halls, in class, at lunch, and in gym class, I feel more socially impaired than ever before. Finally, I tire of the sneaky glances from Nate, the school quarterback, in my English class, so I ask for the bathroom pass. An odd rush tickles
