Relocation
Toby started to help clean up the breakfast dishes when Aimee shooed him away. “You go take care of the girls,” she ordered him with a catch in her voice. “And don’t ever forget those of us who love you.”
He promised, giving her a warm hug. He eventually made his way around the grounds to say goodbye to everyone, stopping by the bulletin board to collect his last paycheck before going to get the elephants ready for their trip.
Code was waiting for him by the tractor trailer used to haul the heavy beasts. Toby raised an eyebrow at him, mutely questioning him being there.
