“What happened to her?” Morgan asked from the corner of her bed, staring down at his mate, who was breathing peacefully.
“I think she must have been scared, waking up in a strange environment.”
He knew she would be startled, finding herself in a totally unfamiliar environment.
He felt so relieved, seeing her sleeping in his presence and in his pack.
Suddenly, his beta came into view. He walked a bit closer to the peer down at his mate, and that made him release a growl, warning him to back off.
“Woah! I just wanted to see how our Luna looks like.”
He could care less about that right now, but he wouldn't let anyone get close to his mate, not even his beta.
“She's beautiful, isn't she?” Darius directed the question to his beta, who was about taking a step forward.
