HE FOUND THE FOYER. It had an expansive high ceiling surrounded by massive stained-glass windows. The decoration was classy and subdued, which gave it a museum-like ambience.
He gazed at the ceiling, admiring the intricate details of the iron-pressed motif of roses. That was when he noticed the multiple, well-concealed, top-end cameras. He was able to identify them as electronic spies because of the pin-prick reddish light they emitted. Whoever installed them was good at his job; he made an effort to embed the cameras within the red rose details. He only knew they were there because he happened to know what he was looking at.
The concierge saw him and smiled.
