Chapter 5: Realization

POV AVA***          

"STOP PLEASE LOGAN YOU'RE GOING TO KILL HIM". I yell trying to pull Logan off of Max who is trying to protect his face from Logan's wrath. Luca finally pulls Logan off of Max with the help of Adam. I rush down to Max to see his bruised face. "Gabriella please call the doctor Max needs medical attention right now-" I turn around to see Gabby gone and the front door open. "f**k" i yell as i crawl towards the couch and call Dr. Alessandro. 

   "Hello Alessandro this is Ava i need you at my penthouse right away, thank you bye". I hang up without giving him a chance to respond. I crawl back to Max and rest his face on my Lap. He is currently passed out, I grab the water from the side table next to the couch and dump it on Max's face. He gasps and tries to sit up as he grunts. "What the f**k have you've done Max?" i say as i look to the right of me seeing Logan stand up after pushing off Luca and Adam. He walks over to Max and I.

"You will never disrespect a women ever Max, I don't give a f**k what she has done to you or has’nt done. Your mother will never ever feel a sense of comfort in my company and you might have lost your best friend because of f*****g stereotypes at your school". he throws off his suit jacket and loosens the top of his buttons of his white coloured s**t and pulls of his tie and throws it on the floor. 

"Now while all you tend to Max I'll go look for the real victim here. Gabriella." he says as he walks out of the penthouse. I look at Luca and Adam who look at Max very disappointed. Max looks down as i grab his chin, "I don't care how old you are, you will always listen and respect my rules while in my f*****g house. I pay the bills and I raised a better son than what you are right now. I don't even know who the hell you are right now. You're turning into the way your father was in high school". i said as i got up and walked away i thought i had raised Max right. 

    I moved away from all the toxic people and had taught Max to respect and treat women like queens. I hear the doorbell ring and I expect it's Dr.Alessandro so I decide I need to go find Gabriella. Max is a big boy if he can live with beating his best friend, he can handle seeing the doctor without his mommy.I get up and answer the door and see it’s Dr.Alessandro I walk past him.   

POV GABRIELLA***

After I ended the call with grandma belle i began to walk out of the apartment so i could go to my last day of school to grab my transcripts so i can move with Grandma belle. After I locked the door with the pin, I began to walk down the hall when I heard footsteps behind me, I turned around and saw Angelo. 

I do what anyone would do at this moment. I began to run down the hall while he called after me. I got to the stairwell and began running down the stairs Angelo almost grabbed me as I turned a quick turn onto floor 36. I began running down the halls until I saw the gym. I felt my chest begin to burn from being out of shape and not eating right. I turn into the gym as Angelo grabs me and picks me up and walks towards the pool area. “Put me down right now Angelo!”. He opens the door to the pool and walks to the edge of the pool.

“Angelo I f*****g swear if you dump me into this poor I’ll cut off your dic-” I was’nt able to finish that sentence because Angelo threw me into the pool. After I emerged from the pool I looked up to a Smirking Angelo. “You’re a f*****g asshole” i say as i swim to the other side of the pool to get out. “Stay in the f*****g pool you and i are going to have a little talk”. He pulls out his phone and I am guessing he texted Ava or Luca. I pull myself out of the pool and sit against the wall. I bring my knees to my chest to calm down. My eyes began to water as my chest tightened at the realization that I'm probably never gonna see Luca and Ava ever again or even be allowed in the hotel ever again. I lift my head up and see Angelo standing in front of me along with  Logan. 

I stand up “I should go change so i can go to school” i say as Angelo nods. I look at Logan and he looks like he’s trying to think of something to say. “Gabriella please whatever you do n't get up and leave I'll show them that they can push you around when Ava left nothing changed my friend group continued to be assholes. We continued to do things that I will never live down and your mom beat my girlfriend's ass at the time because she poured coke on her car”. I shake my head. 

“I don’t care if they change or not. I don't even have friends at this school, kids see me getting picked on and you think they would help but they either laugh along or walk away” I scoff and look into his eyes. “f**k them people don’t change so i dont expect Max to change”. I patted his chest and walked away. When I got to the door I turned back and saw Angelo and Logan watching me carefully.

I Shake my head and walk back to the elevator and press on the suite floor. When the elevator dinged it opened and I got in. When i got into the elevator i grabbed my phone from my wet clothing and saw my phone soaked. I shook it and blew on it. I would probably have to buy a new phone. The elevator dinged and I stepped out. I turned to the left instead of the right to walk to my parents old penthouse. I put in the code and unlock the door and walk inside. After I am inside I close and lock the door. I turn around and see Luca and Ava sitting on the couch.

“Gabriella where the f**k have youve been?'' I look down and walk to my bedroom so I can shower. Ava tries to grab my arm but I flinch back, thinking she is going to hit me. “I need to shower so i can go to school”. I look up at Ava. She is tearing up. Luca behind her has a blank look on his face. “Gabriella please stay home so we can talk about this alot has happened” Ava says as she touches my arm.  I look up at her “Ava it's already done and I need to get to school. I'm taking my test to graduate early today, so i can leave”.  Ava’s eyes begin to fill up with more tears as she struggles to speak. Luca walks up to her and hugs her as I turn around to take a shower. Once I am in my room I begin getting undressed, after I am undressed I walk into my bathroom and turn on the shower and get in. I look at the time on the clock and see it’s 6:45 so I have an hour and 15 minutes to get ready.  After I finish my quick shower I grab a black matching set of undergarments and put them on. After putting them on I grab a pair of Blue jeans with rips at the knee and to top off my school attire I put on a black Nirvana Hoodie. 

After I am done getting dressed i brush my teeth then brush out my hair. I go back into my room and grab my bag off the floor. Thank god Angelo threw it off of me before throwing me into the pool. I grab my keys off my dresser and grab my phone and surprisingly it's not destroyed from Water. I  walk out of my room and close the door behind me. When I walk into the living room I see it's empty but there’s a waffle platter from Gatsby with a note. 

“Please eat Gabriella and we need to talk when you get home from school” - Love Ava. I sigh and pick up the take out container and walk towards the door. I walk outside and lock the door. I walk towards the elevator and make my way down to the lobby. When the doors open I am faced with my least favorite person at the moment Max. “Gabriella we need to talk”. He says as I move past him. I put my hood on and walk my way towards the exit to the beach. “Gabby wait up please”. Max grabs my arm and I wince in pain. “Can you f**k off please”. I shrug my arm away and rub it. 

“Gabby we need to talk about what happened”. I laugh. The man sitting at the front desk looks towards us as I walk towards Max. “Let me tell you what has happened” I say as I continue to walk towards him as he walks back. “You have been a major d**k. You've neglected our friendship, hit me, pushed me around, didn't stop your friends from picking on me and lots of more things.” I grab the collar of his shirt. “If you ever come near me again i don't care, how big you are i will beat your f*****g ass. You f*****g hit me, not only hit me your knocked me out and left me on my floor!” By this point I am yelling and I don't care anymore if I ruin Ava’s perfect son's image. 

“So Max next time you see me turn the other f*****g way, and if i were you also tell your b***h that you call you girlfriend to f**k off before I beat her ass too” i push him against the wall and walk away. I am not running to my grandma's house anymore,  I am staying and dealing with these pricks.
