9 “I remembered something.” We were in Tasha’s cave and I was trying not to cringe at the mess. “Tell, me, child.” Samura and I told her what I’d remembered. “This is good. This is progress. Maybe you should spend some more time with Samura and your youngest brother. Spending time with your betrothed is not bringing your memories to the fore.” I thought it was odd. Wouldn’t the closeness of our relationship trigger something? It was strange to me that there was nothing. Tasha praised my efforts, even though I hadn’t done anything, and suggested that I meet with more people in the village to see if something triggered more memories.
