But Ji Yeon didn't stop. He grabbed a handful of dirt and threw it at the man's face. Grains of dust and sand got into the man's eyes, making him scream while rubbing his face frantically. This was Ji Yeon's chance to escape. He got up quickly and ignored the pain in his leg. Ji Yeon ran back as fast as he could towards the bushes. The soldier could still hear his steps even though his vision was impaired. “I'll find him! You can't run away from me!” his voice echoed, full of anger. Ji Yeon kept running, his breathing ragged, until he came across a large fallen tree trunk. He hid behind it, holding his breath and trying to muffle the sound of his sobs. The man approached, his steps heavy but steady. Ji Yeon could hear the sound of leaves being trampled as he approached his hiding place.
