Lily and Rudolf actually lived together in her apartment. They decided to move together four years ago. The one who asked to move in together first was Rudolf. At first, Lily was hesitant to move together. She was the type of girl who loved to live alone and spent her me-time in abundant time. But when everything on their relationship got better and more serious, Lily started to think about it. Then right after they got engaged four years ago, Lily agreed to move together with Rudolf. Their relationship seemed worked out. Their love seemed growing even better day by day. Even when they fought for several times, they could reconcile and everything turned better. But, surprisingly, love could be that deceitful. On that moment, every memories spent together for ten years seemed fake for Lily.
Lily spent that night weeping. She decided to throw away all Rudolf's stuff. It was definitely a hassle for her, actually. Rudolf had been moving in with her since the last 4 years. His stuffs filled nearly half of the room. His clothes, bags, luggage, golf sticks, sneakers and all the stuffs were put on the box and would be thrown away. She also teared and burned all the picture of their together like lunatic. She wanted to get over it quickly. She put all of it in the trash room at the end of the hallway. She just hoped the janitor would just throw it all away for her in the following day. She felt exhausted after moving all the stuffs but the pain of being betrayed like that was much more painful.
At first, she thought that after being exhausted like, she could sleep. But no, it was even worse. She wept once again. The memories of together for 10 years popped out on her mind several times. She reminisced the first time when she met Rudolf. She reminisced their sweet first kiss in front of her parents' porch. She remembered the day when Rudolf finally confessed to her and made their relationship official. She remembered their first touring to another city with his bike altogether just to catch the sunset. She had to admit that every moment she had spent with Rudolf was the first thing she did. She did almost everything for the first time with him. She didn't know how her life would be, when she did it all of that alone, in the future. She finally understood why people kept saying that being heartbroken was the worst thing of all.
She moved to her pantry and took out every liquor she had. Flasks of champagne, bottles of wine and beers were on the table. Actually, Lily was a liquor-courage. But by seeing how many bottles she wanted to drink, it was completely madness. She opened the first bottle of wine and started drinking her pain away. After few sips, she got fake courage and being a pot-valiant in double sense and started mumbling to herself.
"I am strong woman. I can overcome this pain. I am strong woman. I can do everything without that jerk."
But every time she finished the sentence, she started weeping over and over again.
The first bottle turned into the second one until it ended up with pints of beer and wine all the night.
She still couldn't believe her 10-year lover betrayed her shamelessly like that. The worst thing of all, he cheated on her with her one and only bestie. She shook her head and felt so much pain. If the length of relationship didn't make anything of it worked out, then what would?
She ended up half-seas over and completely wasted on her bed. Her room was completely messed up. So was herself. She wanted to forget her pain and sadness away at least for that night. She just hoped that the pain would go away in the next morning.
Hopefully.....
----
In the next morning, her room turned completely into a pigsty overnight. The empty pints of beer and wine, and flasks of champagne were in every corner of her room like a merry party was held on that room last night. But on the opposite, it was the one of Lily's darkest night and lowest point of life. Some used tissues all over her rooms. Her table lamp nearly fell and left hanging between the table and her bed. Her pillows and bolster were not on bed anymore. One of it on the table and there rest of it fell down on the floor.
A day had passed but Lily still slept soundly. Her phone vibrated a few times already. Her ex fiance, Rudolf called her. But she seemed completely unaware with anything. In the middle of the day, suddenly, her apartment's bell rang loudly and woke her up, and oh! such a Katzenjammer for her. She couldn't even sit on her bed properly.
She tried to walk straight to the door but she ended up feeling dizzy then threw up in the bathroom.
The bell finally stopped ringing but Lily still tried to make herself sober.
-------------
After she was completely sober, she finally started the day in the afternoon. She was a bit shocked herself after realizing how many liquor she drank last night. No wonder that she was so hammered during the following day. Then she cleaned up every mess she made last night all the day until dusk. At the time, she wanted to go out and threw away all the trash, she looked at door then found a white envelope on the floor.
After she threw the trash, she opened the envelope and read the title of the letter
EVICTION LETTER
She was frozen for second. She was puzzled.
How could this be? How could she be evicted when she owned the property.
She read the rest of the letter carefully.
Her guts suddenly told her something scary. She immediately ran to her safe-deposit box. At first, it couldn't be opened. She was blinded and panicked at the moment. Her heart skipped a beat. She thought that the password was already changed. But after she tried again, it was finally opened.
Her guts were right. It was empty. Her money and gold deposits were gone. But the worst thing of all : The apartment certificate of ownership was not there.
She finally understood that the Jerk, Rudolf already changed the ownership of the apartment, took away her money deposits, ran away with a shameless b*tch then sold the apartment under his name and the new owner would be there soon in the morning.
She was completely deceived by her ex fiance.
She was heartbroken and going to be homeless in the next hours.
She was speechless. She was totally defeated that time.
It looked like someone already pushed the reset button of her life. All the hard works she had been doing for years just POOF! vanished into the air. It looked like God played a trick and decided to ruin her life for that time.
Her glorious and happy life turned into hell in a very short time.
She was penniless, broken hearted, and nearly homeless overnight.
This time, she couldn't even cry anymore. She took a deep breath. Her brain still couldn't proceed with what just happened to her life recently. The only thing she could do was looking at the wall blankly and hoped everything that happened for those 2 days was only a nightmare.
But life didn't work that way. It gave you a lot of surprises and the timing was also unexpected. For Lily, Time and Life were indeed a pair of thieves. It stole every happiness she had and left her with nothing.
That time, they gave Lily boxes of lemons for two days in a row.
She finally fell down on her knees and prayed to God she never believed before.
"Please, God, who art in Heaven, let me out of this suffering"
