THE TRAITOR REWARD
( The throne room was silent,not the silence of peace but that of fear) ( The stranger stood at the center of the hall,his white cloak stained with blood and dirt) .( The king stared at him from the throne) .
King Moren: You said you took your revenge but helped us in disguise. ( The king said slowly) but you still haven't answered my question .
( The man smiled then laugh softly)
" ha . . . . . ha . . . .ha "
( The guards tightened their grip on their swords,then the king voice harden)
king Moren: Answer me,Who are you to that kingdom ?
( the man slowly raised his head )
Stranger : " Neither am I a soldier not a servant " ( step forward) I was born in the palace.
( The king frown in disgust then he smiled wider )
Stranger: I . . am . . the . . elder . . brother. . . . of the king of Kestrel
( The entire room froze)
( The king rose from the throne )
King Moren: You betrayed your own blood
( His eyes darkened )
Stranger: My name is Tomas,( looked behind the king) Can you call that betray
King Moren : What ! ! !
Stranger: He betrayed me first ,(tightening his hand raising it upward and forward) It is called a revenge.( Opened his hand,drop it.smilig) I was supposed to wear that crown but the day of choosing, I drank to stupor.( laugh widely) A single mistake ( He shouted) huh just one ( his voice became colder) After that day, I became nothing more than a drunk fool in their eyes ( scratch his neck) My own mother disowned me.Can you see I never belong to that land ( took another step forward towards the throne) Every advice I gave was mocked and silenced ,my word turn into a joke even to the workers and everytime I looked at him . . . . . . him ( His smile disappear). I saw my stolen life .
( The king watched him quietly)
King Moren: So you poisoned them all ?
( Tomas struggled)
Tomas : A weak kingdom deserves to fall ( sudden spread his lips like he was smiling and continue) But your kingdom ( he looked around the massive wall) The king is strong.
( the king narrowed his eyes)
king Moren : what is it that you want
( Tomas bowed slightly)
Tomas : A place besides greatness
(The king said nothing but just wondering what a disaster he is )
Tomas : ( pointing to the right side of the room) Make me your right man.
( Moren looked into his eyes)
king Moren : you said what ?
Tomas : I said aren't I worthy to become your right man
( Moren looked at his guards,then chuckles softly)
king Moren : There is greediness in your family
( smile fades away from Tomas face ) .
king Moren : You poisoned your own family claiming you took a revenge,( He stepped down from the throne as he approaches him and then continues) A man who betrayed his family claiming it was a revenge ( stop directly in front of him) would betray the world .
( He looked up then smiled instead of being angry, the king was amused with his reactions and actions)
( Tomas then crossed his arm slowly,loom around the throne room casually like his not afraid )
Tomas : The world (repeat it softly ) No your majesty oy those too weak to protect it .
( A guard whisper)
Guard : you dare stand before the king after murdering children and innocent life's.
(Tomas turn slowly towards him, narrowed his eyes and then said calmly)
Tomas : Will you tell me your kingdom never celebrated the victory ?
( The king turn slowly, walking towards his throne)
king Moren : Tell me something, if I placed a sword in your hand ( stopped walking then turn to him ) would you kill me too (staring into his eyes) .
( The whole room freezed about to hear his response)
( Tomas then chucked under his breath)
Tomas : That depends. . . . . . . . . .
(immediately the guards unshielded thier swords,steel flashed beneath the touch light but he didnot move. He smiled wider)
Tomas : On whether you become my enemy
( The king turned away from him then commanded)
King Moren: Take him to the freezing cell alive
( Tomas laugh ha. . . ha. . ha ,even as the chain were locked around his wrist ,the smile still continues and the guard took him as they enter into a thin air)
( The freezing prison was buried beneath the castle like a forgotten grave,water dripped slowly from the stone ceiling. The guard push the man forward roughly but he never stop smiling. His chain footsteps echoed through the narrow cell)

clang. . . . . .
( His smile stop as be spotted someone standing at the entrance of the cell door,he bursted into a very loud laughter that echoes through every wall like a lion roaring. )
The guard at the door : you. . . ( he whispered softly as his eyes widen slightly)
(He continue laughing out loud till the guard who brought him and locked him up left, handling the key to the guard at the door)
Tomas: Finn you still drinking your life away ?
Guard( Finn) : ( raising his hand to his lips) shhhhhhhhh
Tomas : I took my revenge already ( smiling)
Finn: really,so why are you here?
Tomas : I came to claim a reward here but got this ( raising his jaw )
Finn: What !!!
Tomas: Yes and I will deal with your King for what he has done
Finn: Thanks for helping me that night when your brother was about to kill me but am sorry I can't help you with this
Tomas: Don't you know me,I do my favour with a big price ( laughing out loud)
Finn: ( Got scared,)what are you planning to do ?
Tomas : ( Took out a piece of cloth which looks like something wrapped inside) This
Finn : What is that
Tomas : It is a powder not just a powder a poisonous one
Finn : What!!! Are you trying to kill him
Tomas : ( His eyes became deadly showing fully that he is angry) His he your king ? or are you from this land huh
Finn : No am sorry I came here to hide and make money
Tomas : so what is the pitiful word for ?
Finn : sorry just don't know how you will do it
Tomas : (Chuckles loudly) Once is night just open the door and I will be quick and then return. (looked at him to be sure if he understood but he couldn't) Look I won't go to him,I just had to move near him and blow it into the air.( Tap the head of the cloth like he was petting a baby) It is really poisonous you know
Finn: what about the guard near him
Tomas: How is that my business,they will die but not immediately slowly including your king.. ( pointing to him) Or will you do it ( shouting at him )
Finn: eeeeh No ( voice shaking).
( silence took over the cell as Tomas slept off )
............ Midnight........
Finn: Hey hey ( tapping him)
Tomas : what( scratching his eyes) ?
Finn : I went to check,the king is drinking alone outside you can go now ( unlocking the cell door and chains in his leg.Tomad smiled)
Guard : ( saw someone run in the dark and suddenly stopped) who is that ?
( The other guards was alert by the question and caught him as he dropped a cloth on the floor, smiling. They reported to the king and he ordered the death of both the man and the guard cell ( Finn).Even at the point of dying he was laughing while Finn was crying hard begging for mercy. They killed them both, thinking there will be peace) .
