Chapter 41
Max remained listening to the chattering happening, taking notes and gathering information the best as he can. Yet, for the past few minutes, all he got was bantering and berating from every person there, causing his blood to boil. A vein almost popped out of his temple, noticing the smirk and smug expression on some youngsters around them. All the while saying stuff about them. “Hey, isn’t that place which they say is like an old town? I bet those kids who live there are totally weak.” A guy with buck teeth snickered, grinning towards his companions while speaking in a hush. Max’s eyes narrowed on the person, irritated because they seem to be over their heads, as they were talking without facing them. “It wouldn’t be impossible, cause they fill the place with all those rich folks.”
