The office was quiet. It had always been quiet, but without Alessandro, it was almost lonely. It was the first day with Nico as the CEO.
They hadn't made a big deal of it. They had hardly acknowledged the changing of the guard. There had been some mumblings among the other accountants, but as the head of accounting, I felt it was unnecessary to comment on any of it.
