CHAPTER 7: Kisadella's POV The days that followed were a blur of royal duties, meetings, and getting accustomed to life in the kingdom, boredom, boredom and more boredom . The Alpha Kings were attentive, each showing me a different side of themselves. Alpha Hoxton was commanding but gentle , Alpha Hurlford was protective, and Alpha Hectory was possessive, very possessive . But Xander's words lingered in my mind. "Help you get what you really want." What did he mean? Did he know? One night, as I was getting ready for bed, Alpha Hectory knocked on my door. "May I come in?" he asked. I nodded, and he entered, looking handsome in his casual clothes. "I wanted to check on you," he said, sitting on the bed. I smiled. "I'm fine. Just a bit off track ." Alpha Hectory took my hand. "We'll get through this, Kisadella. Together, I'll make sure no one harms what is mine, you are mine ." His touch sent shivers down my spine. "Alpha Hectory..." "Hectory," he corrected. "When we're alone, call me Hectory." I nodded, feeling a flutter. "Hectory." He leaned forward , his lips tampering with mine mine. The kiss was soft, gentle... but it ended too soon. "I'll see you tomorrow," he whispered, leaving me breathless. As he left, I couldn't help but compare the brothers. Each had a different way of showing me they cared. The next morning, I was summoned to the throne room. The Alpha Kings were there, looking serious, too serious, I hated serious . "Kisadella," Alpha Hoxton said. "We've received a challenge." "A challenge, like a social media trend challenge ?" I repeated, trying to annoy the three Alphas. Alpha Hurlford. Chuckled lightly , at least someone got the lines. "From Xander, he wants to fight for you." Fight for me? "What does that mean?" Alpha Hectory explained, "In our culture, a challenge like this can't be ignored. Xander wants to prove he's stronger, to claim you." My heart raced, I absolutely didn't want this, not at all . "No. I don't want to be fought over." Alpha Hoxton stepped forward. "Don't worry. We'll handle it. You won't be put in danger." But the thought of Xander fighting the Alpha Kings... it terrified me. What if they got hurt? As we discussed the challenge, a guard burst in. "Alpha Kings! Xander is at the gates, ready to fight!" The Alpha Kings exchanged a look. "It's time," Alpha Hurlford said. They led me to the arena, where Xander was waiting. The crowd was silent as the Alpha Kings stood before him. Xander sneered. "I'll fight one of you. If I win, Kisadella comes with me." Alpha Hoxton smiled coldly. "We'll fight you. All of us." Xander laughed. "Fine. Let's do this." The fight began, the Alpha Kings vs Xander. It was intense, brutal, and also humiliating to Xander, they never hit him back, all they did was avoid his hits which somehow they made always land back to him, they were holding back, trying not to hurt Xander too badly. As it ended, Xander lay on the ground, defeated. "You... can't keep her forever," he growled. Alpha Hoxton leaned down. "We're not keeping her. She's staying because she wants to,and she belongs to us, you can never have her." The Alpha Kings turned to me, their eyes questioning. Did I want Xander gone? I looked at Xander, then at the Alpha Kings. "I stay with them," I said, my voice firm, heck Xander was not the one catering for my grandfather. Xander's face twisted, but he nodded. "This isn't over." As he left, the Alpha Kings surrounded me, relief in their eyes. "You're safe," Alpha Hurlford said. But I wasn't sure I was. Xander's words still lingered. What did he want? Alpha Hectory took my hand. "Let's get you inside. You need rest." I nodded, feeling a mix of emotions. The Alpha Kings were my protectors, my lovers... but Xander's game was far from over. As we walked back, Alpha Hoxton leaned in. "We'll uncover what Xander wants. Don't worry." But I was worried. Xander was a wild card,I knew him better than they did, and I had a feeling he was just getting started... The Alpha Kings led me to a quiet room, where a small feast was waiting. "Dinner," Alpha Hurlford said, smiling. We sat down, and the food was delicious. But my mind was elsewhere. Xander, the challenge... what was next? As we ate, Alpha Hectory turned to me. "Kisadella, we need to talk about the wedding." The wedding,i Swallowed hard. I'd almost forgotten. "When is it?" I asked. Alpha Hoxton smiled. "In three days. We'll make it memorable." Three days? So soon ? What was the rush? The Alpha Kings raised their glasses. "To our future," they said in unison. I smiled, clamping my glass against theirs. But in the back of my mind, Xander's words echoed. "This isn't over." JJ'S PEN.
