Chapter 8 Dinner was comfortable and conversation was easy among the four. Even Ian’s dad seemed to accept that Andrew was a natural part of the mix now. Ian saw his Mother’s wrinkled brow every once-in-a-while but he was used to her worrying and not saying anything. “Well, as they say—all good things must come to an end,” announced Ian, looking at his watch. “If we don’t want Jessie blowing up our phones we best be on our way.” Ian was careful not to get caught alone with his mother anticipating questions he didn’t have answers for right now.
