Walking into my room, I close the door behind me and lean on it for a moment. The conversation that I shared with Jackson in the kitchen is still fresh and loud in my head.
“Deal,” His deep, masculine voice echoes in my head like it's some sort of music or something. A smile tugs at the corner of my lips. Still, I can't believe it.
I check the time on the digital wall clock and that's when I realise it's past midnight. My intention was to fetch a glass of water downstairs and come back to my room. Bumping into Jackson in the middle of the night looking all sweaty from the intensive training, helping him with the blisters and making a deal with him wasn't a part of the plan but…I’m glad it happened.
