III. Hogwarts References

1143 Words
Louise was on her way to meet Jesy and Lee, she was texting her two best mates when she bumped into Jade earlier.   How the hell did she recognize me? That girl is weird.   She was brought back into reality when she heard someone call out her name.   “LOUISE!!!”   When she looked to her left, she didn’t notice that she went past their rendezvous just because she couldn’t stop thinking about the girl from two nights ago. She jogged up to where Jesy was.   “Where the hell were you going? My instruction was clear, we meet in our old place.”   “Sorry…I was just…”   “You were fantasizing someone, weren’t you?” a caramel-skinned woman teased her.   “What?? NO!” Louise shakes her head as she follows the two women enter the bar.   Wasabi Bar and Resto is one of the oldest bars in New York City. They met up in the afternoon, so the place wasn’t crowded yet with partygoers, but as soon as night comes, the place is full-packed. With all kinds of booze that are available in the bar.   Louise ordered a cheeseburger and an apple juice. While Lee ordered a quinoa salad since she’s watchful of her purposive diet. As for Jesy, she could care less what time of the day it is; if she wants the hard stuff, she gets the hard stuff. She ordered her favorite bourbon, which will become a few glasses of bourbon as they stay longer in the bar.   “It’s too early to get drunk, Jesy.”   “It’s never too early for my bourbon. Besides, it’s five o’clock somewhere!” she glances at Lee and shudders after seeing her salad. “This is better than some…grass and grains,” she said as she downed her drink.   “Hey! This isn’t just grass and grains! Quinoa salads are one of my favorites based upon the texture and versatility of the grain itself,” she started. “Adding quinoa to a salad provides fiber, so you’re likely to eat less and stay satisfied longer. It’s also gluten-free, high in protein, and one of the few plant foods that contain all nine essential amino acids which support lean body mass.”   Louise and Jesy both rolled their eyes at how Lee is talking ‘healthy’ again. Jesy downed her second glass, while Louise munched on her cheeseburger.   “So, what’s our new job order right now, Jes?”   Jesy in many ways is their leader. She doesn’t steal anything unlike the other two, but she has connections for Louise and Lee's respective affairs. In return, the two women give back a thirty percent share from their successful heists to Jesy.   When they meet up for an upcoming job, it’s usually at the bar since it’s a public place; plus, they have a code for everything.   They mostly use Harry Potter references. Muggles for ordinary and harmless people. Gryffindor for the good guys. Hufflepuffs for the police or authorities. Slytherins for the bad guys, like the leaders or owners of certain businesses. And finally, Hedwig, which is their bank account.   “There’s a shipment coming. It will arrive tomorrow night at 3333 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island. Two different shipments; one might interest you Lou, and the other might interest you, Lee,” she explained. “But Lee, your package will arrive at around five o’clock in the afternoon. While yours, Lou, will arrive at night, probably by nine or ten o’clock.” “That’s too early for me!” Lee complained. “Well, you need to adjust your schedule if you want to receive your package personally.” “And those shipments are from who exactly?” Louise asked. “Why, of course, they’re from your friend, Lou,” Jesy replied, sending a wink to the blonde.  They all know what that means – it’s illegal. It may be smuggled or stolen from some rich people or big businesses and establishments like commercial banks or taxes paid by the masses. Louise loathes those kinds of people. She may be a thief, but she never steals from poor people. She only steals from those who take too much from the weak and poor. “So, what are we dealing with tomorrow?” Lee asks. “For you, Lee, just muggles. They have no idea what’s inside the box. Their job is only to deliver them,” she downed her drink, then she turned to the blonde. “As for you, Lou, you’ll be dealing with Slytherins. Careful…you don’t wanna get Avadaaa Kedavraaa…” she scares the girl as she draws her face near to Louise's. Louise scrunched up her nose when she smelled Jesy’s breath the reeked of alcohol. “Jesy…the smell of your breath is disgusting!” she complained. Jesy only leaned forward again just to annoy the hell of the blonde. “Stooop!” Lee, Louise, and Jesy have been friends for a long time. But when it comes to their jobs, they plan together but work alone. It’s better for them in-case one of them gets caught, the other two can help in bailing the other from prison. If all three of them would get caught, no one will help them at all. But since they’ve been in the business for so long, they have never been caught, ever.  Their friendship grew over the years through their job as they treat each other as a family since all three of them are orphans. “Oh! Thanks for the share,” Jesy checked her phone. “Got a text from Hedwig, he’s full again.” “I’ll feed him again after tomorrow,” Louise said, sending a wink to Jesy. “Yeah, more like over-feed him!” Lee added. They shared a good laugh over the Harry Potter references they’ve come up with that makes it seem they’re just die-hard Potterheads.  “By the way, Lou…what happened with your homework two days ago? How did you get rid of the Hufflepuffs?” Jesy inquired.  “I shared a broomstick with some muggle,” the realization made her want to laugh and cringe at the same time.  “What?? Did the muggle…you know…” Lee gestured with her hands. “No, I was cloaked. But it was weird because I bumped into her while I was on my way here. And for some crazy reason, she recognized me.” “WHAT?!!” Jesy and Lee said in unison. “Woah, easy…” Louise raised both her hands up. “I got it covered, okay?” “Hold on a second,” Lee narrowed her eyes at Louise. “You said her… So, she was the one you were fantasizing about earlier.” A mile-wide smirk on her face. “I am NOT fantasizing about her!” “Ooooh! Is she hot? Great boobs? Nice ass? Smokin’ hot body?” Jesy joined in on the teasing. “Jesy, stop it!” They ended their meeting with an extremely tipsy Jesy who kept on urging Louise to not be shy about fantasizing a muggle she just met and that she should’ve hooked up with her since the muggle didn’t call the Hufflepuffs. Lee, on the other hand, wasn’t wasted but she was just as bad as Jesy teasing Louise until the blonde’s face was nothing but scarlet.  They decided to go home early to plan for tomorrow’s assignment. They discuss and plan things together but work on their own. If anybody had any questions, they’ll just text or call Jesy for the information they need.
