The silence in the room was shattered when Gabriel slammed the snifter on the shiny brass table in front of him. He was in Miguel’s apartment, in the middle of the night, desperately trying to do some damage control. But so far, he’d done more damage to Miguel’s liquor supply than anything else. His harsh action gained him a baleful look from Miguel who was sitting across from him. He ignored his brother completely and poured himself another shot of brandy. This, he demolished in one gulp and he was in the process of pouring himself another when Miguel’s hand shot out and grabbed the half-empty decanter from him. “Enough, Gabriel. You’re not drinking yourself to death tonight,” Miguel said, standing to return the crystal decanter to the bar. In one swift move, Gabriel jumped to his feet
