ESTRANGED HOWLS ERUPTED from outside just that second. They weren’t close, but they were close enough. The howls echoed, but they were distinctive.
Stephanie froze as she looked out what was left of the broken window. Jack strode to the window and peered out, turning from left to right. He looked to the full moon and then to Stephanie, who was still at the room door. “We have to leave before they get here.”
