Following her symbiot as it led her through the twisting maze of tunnels and air shafts, Morian folded her wings against her sides so she could fit through a narrower section of rock. She could feel the black symbiots gaining on her.
She swerved upward into a vertical shaft before twisting at the last minute into another horizontal one, bouncing off the smooth walls as she did and almost losing control. She rolled and picked up speed, ignoring the burning in her lungs and wings. She hadn’t flown this hard or fast in centuries.
