Chapter 6
Paul’s head jerked up from where he was smiling down at the tiny infant in his arms when he heard the husky voice of the woman on the other side of the viewscreen. His eyes narrowed as he took in her flushed cheeks and shy look as she stared back at him. A wave of unexpected need washed through him, surprising him and making him scowl at the fierce response.
The woman on the screen flushed even rosier. Paul was mesmerized by the classical beauty of the woman glaring back at him. Her gold eyes met his defiantly, almost challenging him. Her face was framed by long, thick black hair that hung in glossy waves over her shoulders and down her back.
