“Where are you coming from young lady?” Kylie turned on the light and stared at me expectantly as the door closed behind me.
I thought I had been quiet and I could sneak in back to the room without her even knowing because she was a heavy sleeper. I sighed and turned. She had caught me, I had to think fast because I knew what was coming next, an interrogation. I plopped on my bed face down and sighed. “I was out,” I mumbled.
“I did not hear you, what did you say?” Kylie sounded stern. “It’s a school night and you stay out until three in the morning, what’s happening with you Neva?” her voice went soft at the last part.
Groaning, I raised my head and looked at her through hooded eyes. I wanted to tell the truth about Aydan and I but I was not sure if Aydan was okay with that. Ayd
