"I am proud of you and I know your mom would be too"
My dad whispered tearily in my ears, my heart lurched and hugged him fiercely. At the age of sixteen, I was a graduand of Greater Height secondary School, the best graduating student and all my prizes were stacked in a box at the corner; to be carefully arranged alongside others. Ade's athletic medals and awards were shining on the shelf, alongside Dad's academic ones.
Aunty Mabel sure does her job well I chuckled to myself,Aunt Mabel was our housekeeper,she has lived with us for as long as I can remember. He released me and dropped a kiss on my forehead.
"Dad my set mates are organizing a send off party for us and I have to go" I smiled at him.
" Oya, go get dressed. Ade will drop you off". I thanked him profusely and rushed upstairs to get ready. The legendary Ade Coker doesn't like to be kept waiting, unfortunately my elder brother.
I wore the green gown I bought specifically for the purpose and don my long hair in a neat bun.
I got downstairs in time to see Ade exiting his study room.
He gave me a quick hug and we left the house.
He had a lunch appointment with his friends, I waved him as he disappeared around the corner.
I knocked on the huge gate and a security man let me in. I walked through the large pavement adorned with varieties of flowers to the huge oak door that housed the Adeniyi's . I pushed open the door and it was filled with most of my friends, I started socializing immediately and chatting with my friends when Dare and his elder brother Damola came down the stairs. Damola recently returned from abroad and was staying for few weeks. He introduced him to everyone and the mild interruption was soon forgotten as loud music was introduced and the bar was opened. I felt free and drank more than usual, Damola took me upstairs and tried to sober me up with water.
It worked.
"You shouldn't be drinking too much, you're a light weight" He admonished gently. I shrugged and mumbled a sorry. I tried to leave his room but he held me back and told me to sit down, I did.
He gave me aspirin and I thanked him. The room suddenly got hot and I shrugged out of my jacket. He shifted restlessly on his seat.
"Maybe you should be going now, you look a whole lot better" He said suddenly standing up. I stood up too and tripped on the tail of my gown. He caught me against his chest and something unfurled inside me, I tilted my head and met his lips, his kiss was feather like, soft and teasing. I clinged to him and it got passionate, I was drowning in l**t. I was captivated by his touch, he broke the kiss and tried to settle his breath.
" Are you sure you want this" he asked searching my eyes for reluctance. I nodded my head and ran a hand up his buff chest.
"Yes" I whispered softly and that was his ondoing. He got rough and gentle, sucking and biting, kissing with so much passion, then with a love making that broke me apart as I lay limbless in his arms.
"Why didn't you say you were a virgin" he said suddenly.
" I didn't want you holding out on me" I answered
"Why?" The guilt,regret and anguish in him all channeled into that one question. The enormity of what I had done dawned on me.
I stood up wordlessly and had a hot shower, before joining the rest downstairs. He didn't come down for the rest of the night.
