Chapter 3: The Cold CEO

Ji ho stood there as she watched him talk to the person on the other line. His first two buttons were opened and the necktie wasn't yet attended to so she decided to help him but as soon as she raised her hand to touch his necktie he immediately shunned her by raising his palm to her face and walked out of the closet still on the call.

She shamefully clenched her fist as she brought it down and placed on her side. Soon after he was done he left for the dinning room with his secretary.

"Good morning young master"Mrs Kim greeted

"Morning Mrs Kim"

" I'll just have a cup of tea" he said. He needed to leave for work immediately. After he drank his tea he left for work.

He sat at the passenger's seat with ji ho and the driver drove out of the compound, behind them were two cars which followed them as an escort, they were security guards.

"Reschedule my meeting with Mrs Kang of LG group tomorrow afternoon and my meeting today should be during lunch. Rent a restaurant, I want it private and look for a place with good Western food" he ordered as he went through the iPad with his eyes.

"Yes sir" she replied. She had thought he would say anything about the incident in the room but he said nothing about it so she smiled and thought to herself that he must be falling for her and is shy to admit it.

"I just need a little push and I'll have him crawling to me" she thought to herself with a smirk.

"The documents?" he asked for the documents he had told her to get while coming to his house this morning.

"Here sir" she handed it to him .

He flipped through the pages with a cold smile .

"Are these the list of the managers who embezzled funds at the hotel?" He asked.

"Yes sir. Here are also the bank statements for the illegal transactions into their accounts" she replied.

"Very good, they have some nerves" he said as he picked his phone and made a call to the manager of his financial companies.

"Freeze their accounts this instant" he ordered and hung up.

"Email them a letter of dismissal" he said to the young lady who sat beside him.

"Yes sir" she answered him.

Meanwhile Ha rin had just arrived at the company she walked into the building and in the lobby she could see a large LED display digital there and in it was a picture of Lee seong min.

"He must be the young CEO Lee seong min" she said to herself. She had already heard of him and seen him on social media too

"Oh, I should hurry" she said as she ran towards the elevator and when she was about to enter, it was shot closed" oh my God, no, no. My interview" she mumbled as she looked at her wrist watch. It was already 8:20am .

Looking at the next one , it was about to close when she hopped in and looking inside she saw none other than the young CEO with a young lady who seemed busy with her phone.

"Good morning sir" she greeted him immediately and he just nodded without saying a word. She got nervous all of a sudden and wondered if he would be present for the interview and what if he identifies her because of her late coming.

"Aren't you going to press the button of which floor you are going?" He asked when he noticed she hadn't done so.

"Yes, I'm sorry" she said as she pressed on the fourteenth floor.

"There's no need for an apology" he said with his hands in his both pocket.

"Yes sir" she replied and after that the elevator went silent.

"Have you emailed the dismissal letter yet?" He asked his secretary.

"Just did so sir" she replied

Ha rin who heard this gulped and couldn't believe her ears. She just hopes today would go accordingly. Soon the door opened and she stepped out.

"Good morning, I'm here for the interview" she said to the young lady who stood in front of a door.

"Morning ma'am. You almost missed it" she said with a smile.

"What?" Ha rin really did come late but the young lady didn't seem harsh or mad at her for being late.

"Don't worry about it, you'll be up next. Here's a number tag" she gave it to her

"And also switch off your phone before you go in" the lady said to her.

"Thank you ma'am" she was grateful and did as she was told.

After the interview, she left the floor and down to the ground floor. It went well and it was good that the Boss wasn't present for the interview.

"I just hope I get selected, they were so many people who wants to get a job at this company" she prayed as she left the building.

It was already afternoon and she starting to get hungry already so she stopped by a convenience store where she bought a cup of ramen noodles and a soda drink.

After she was done, she picked some few things from the store and left.

She then entered a bus which stopped at the front of a saloon.

"Hey I'm here" she said as soon as she entered.

"Hey Ha rin" Mina replied as she waved her hand.

"Quick sit over there" she pointed at a seat not far from her for Ha rin to sit on.

She then turned to the client who she was attending to. The guy had just come few minutes before Ha rin and wanted to get a nice hair cut.

Shin Mina is Ha rin's one and only friend which she made on her third year in high school. She wasn't like the others who made fun of her instead she was caring and kind to her. After high school they both went to the same college together, which was Hayang University and after that she decided to be a hairstylist which had always been her dream since middle School and Ha rin decided to get herself a job.
