“Why are you looking at me?” she asked curiously.
“You were talking in your sleep. I thought you were calling out to me so I came in to see what you wanted.”
“How long was I talking? Better yet, what did I say?”
“You were talking for about five minutes. You were talking about me, about us.”
“What about us?”
“You wanted to know if I was for real.” He climbed into bed behind her and took her into his arms. “You said you didn’t want to get hurt again. You told me that you didn’t want to jump into anything so soon after getting your divorce. You went on and on about it not being enough time, which means that when we were together last year you were still married.”
