The company that had once been thriving was soon in shambles under his leadership. Its performance plummeted, and eventually, weighed down by massive debts, the company was forced to declare bankruptcy. With nothing left, he eventually moved back into the home we once shared. The empty house was covered in dust, yet everything remained exactly as it had been. Everything except me—the woman who used to tell him everything, big or small. Our wedding photo still stood in the most prominent spot in the living room. I used to tease him about it. "Who puts their wedding photo in the living room anymore?
