Chapter 26
Always Have a Backup Plan Anna offered to drive Crystal to her date that evening. Lewis was busy at work and wouldn’t be off until long after the agreed upon time. She would have just taken a cab, but both Anna and Lewis had banned her from ever using public transportation again. They had said, ‘one disaster a night was her quota’. Crystal thought it had been an unfair statement at the time. Looking back now however perhaps there was some validity to their concerns. There was no way she was about to ask Casey to drive her either. She wouldn’t have given two thoughts about doing so in the past. Since the kiss incident though, she just wasn’t comfortable asking him for any favors that led to her date of the day. She didn’t feel it was appropriate of her to do so
