Lucifer was sleeping peacefully next to me when, I turned over and watched him sleep as he lay there. I reached my hand out and caressed his face, admiring everything about him and placing it in my memory, knowing by sun down I would no longer be next to him. I knew there was a chance I would not return, and that I could be killed. I prayed to the Goddess that our child would be safe, tears started to run down my cheek as fear took over me.
