Maddie
Getting up early, Maddie called Tilly to see if she heard from Jacob. Austin was still sleeping, so Maddie sat with the paper and a cup of coffee, looking at all the boxes packed up, ready to go.
"Hello Tilly. It's Maddie. Have you heard from Jacob yet?"
"Yes, we did. he called late last night. Candy is fine. But you might want to sit down for this one."
"Why?Is something else going on?"She asked
"Well, you could say that. Candy is having twins. A boy and a girl, to be exact. They showed her on the ultra sound last night. I guess the one was hiding the other. That's why the doc was only getting one heartbeat. But they said the babies are healthy and right on cue."
"Oh my word. No wonder she is always hungry. That poor girl. I guess we better get started on that baby shower. S
