HAILEY Long after Eamon leaves, I remain exactly where he left me. Motionless and glaring at the ceiling. Breathing. Barely. My entire body feels strange. Not painful exactly. Just... different. Sensitive. Overwhelmed. Like somebody reached into my life, grabbed the foundations, and shook everything loose. The room is silent. The castle is silent. Unfortunately, my brain is not. Because one thought keeps repeating itself over and over again. What have I done? Oh Goddess. What have I done? I drag both hands over my face. Then immediately groan into a pillow. "Fuck." The pillow offers no guidance. Neither does the ceiling. Neither does the Moon Goddess who honestly could've prevented this entire situation if she truly cared about her people.
