Chapter 9 - I do whatever I want to do

The man stopped as his gaze shifted to Jinu, who was watching coldly from the side.
He looked him up and down, then continued, "If he found out you had found some rich guy and married him immediately?"
Jinu's face tensed, his eyes narrowing, and his brows furrowed.
Ningning's face grew cold. From the way the man spoke, she was sure he knew her dad—perhaps even her family.
Her gaze shifted to the man. He looked... "poor."
Her mind clicked; she remembered reading that her father had a ragged brother who gambled everything he had. He was in debt.
"I don't care who you just married, but tomorrow you're going to an arranged marriage. You're marrying the mayor's adviser," he said as if he were her father.
Jinu's eyes turned cold.
Ningning hissed and turned to leave. Seeing that she was ignoring him, the man stepped forward, blocking her path.
“Where are you going, b***h? Stop being rude. Just because your father is rich doesn't mean you should treat me anyway. I'm talking to you—can't you hear?”
Ningning was about to step back when he raised his hand and slapped her across the face. Ningning staggered backward, clutching her cheek, her hair lightly covering her face.
Jinu's eyes widened in shock. Ningning's expression was hidden by her hair. Without hesitation, Jinu moved forward and punched the man to the ground.
Ningning pushed her hair away, revealing a small mark on her face. Jinu furrowed his brows; he didn't understand why, but he couldn't stand to see that kind of face disfigured, even by the slightest cut or scratch. His eyes grew cold, and a deadly intent appeared.
Ningning didn't notice any of this.
The man groaned in pain.
"General Kaze is on his way, and he’s not going to allow you to marry anyone," he shouted at Ningning.
"Who the hell do you think you are, getting married? If General Kaze finds out you're marrying... who your sister was supposed to marry... who knows what he might do?" he yelled.
Ningning frowned, confused. How did they even find out she was here and that she was getting married today?
Jinu didn't understand her situation either. Probably one side of her family was in disagreement.
The rain was about to start. Before anyone could catch their breath, a black SUV pulled up. General Kaze stepped out, immediately fixing his cold gaze on them. His eyes darkened upon seeing Jinu and Ningning.
Jinu saw him and their eyes met. General Kaze's gaze was icy. He approached in his military uniform. When he reached them, he looked at Ningning.
"So, you married before your sister was supposed to?"
“And you even stole the person she was interested in?" he added sharply.
Ningning's eyes turned cold. It was clear that General Kaze disapproved of her actions. She didn't care,she was going to even do more and worse.
He then shifted his gaze to Jinu. "We made a mistake. We’ll fix it tomorrow," he said.
He called out to Ningning, "Ningning, come here. Let's go home."
Ningning remained rooted to the ground, not moving.
Jinu's eyes darkened. General Kaze ignored him.
"Ningning, let's go," he repeated, voice firm.
General Kaze frowned at Ningning's disobedience,if he remembers…Ningning wasn't stubborn and so malicious.
“How long have you known each other for her to snatch you away and you both get married almost immediately…Ningning,your father won't be pleased with this.”
Seeing Ningning standing still, he turned to Jinu. "If I don't go with her, neither of you are going anywhere."
A subtle smile appeared on Jinu's lips. "Watch and see," he replied coldly.
His gaze turned back to Ningning. "Get in the car," he instructed.
Ningning stared at him. She didn't understand why, but her legs instantly obeyed. She got into his car and slammed the door.
Jinu used the car remote to lock the doors, then looked back at General Kaze. General Kaze was displeased, his anger already boiling.
"You really enjoy testing people, don't you?" General Kaze said as he clenched his fists as he stared at one of the most powerful CEO’s in the country .
"Of course. I like to show people I do whatever I want," Jinu said, his cold face expressionless.
