“Are you ready?” Dominic asks from next to me. My feet crunch against the twigs and moss of the forest floor and my skin perks up at the humid, salty air of Dragon Land. I can hear festivities up ahead, making my heart beat faster and my skin break into a glossy sweat.
“Don’t be nervous, Charlotte. You are their Queen and they already love you.” Dominic says again as he smiles and looks ahead. He looks back to his regal self having shaved and visited the barber the day before in my little Human Land town.
