I've been humbling myself away from my mother's intense stare. She is pissed. Not just pissed, but totally angry. If not for the people around, she might have been shouting at me still.
All of us are in the main hall. Even Red Howls officials are present. Despite the fact that I am the daughter of a high-ranking leader, punishment is not an exception. I, too, shall be punished in the same way that the council punished ordinary werewolves. Because a law is a law. My father cannot bend the law in my favor, since it would be an act of unfairness and bias. It would not only show inequities, but would also taint his reputation as a leader. Clearly, my status and connections don't give me any privileges.
