"Ladies, you need to wake up and get prepared for the day before the soldiers come to bang on our doors."The old man told us and I groaned in annoyance.
I wanted to sleep some more because I had just fallen asleep a few minutes ago. I wasn't asleep because of the change of environment and I felt so uncomfortable sleeping on the floor on the mat.
"Hazel, you need to wake up," Monalisa called my name and gave my body a little shake as though doing so would make me wake up.
I finally woke up and went to the bathroom to take a quick shower while Monalisa prepared coffee with some cereal.
