Humans, despite having the most intelligent brains in the animal kingdom, are still largely confined by their own perceptions. If it weren’t for his father’s mention, Zhou Lin would never have thought of stocking up on animal feed.
Is feed unimportant? Of course not!
Most people tend to think of feed as something only for livestock and not for human consumption. But in reality, it is edible—albeit with some adverse effects—and it is far better than starving to death.
“Dad, why didn’t you mention this earlier?” Zhou Lin asked.
“I just thought of it,” his father replied, “But I don’t know if the government will seize it.”
“That’s unlikely,” Zhou Lin said. “I still see large supermarkets buried under snow in the city. Just give me the location, and I’ll go check it out.”
