Chapter 8

Zinnex's POV

"Haha! Man , you got those Polastras really good!" me who's right now laughing at the funny prank that Nashira casued. 

Man , you must be wondering what are we doing now. Well , eventually , I had a great time with my two non-related sisters. Nashira was cold as north pole and she had a very small dark humor inside her icy head.

Now , she's telling a prank of hers that she painted mustard on the door of a Polastra family who messes with her. I mean , mustard was a terrible condiment to me.

"Then , the next day , they have sent me a box of amethyst to let the spirits stop cursing them. They have no idea till this day." "Can't believe you still have this such darkness in your heart." I said while wiped away my happy tears. "*sigh*Can't blame with that , " She stood up and spun , making the thin fabric layer of her tea length dress floated in the air , "Since I'm the mighty spirit who protects over Polastra." She acted a manly voice , making us howled till we broke our throat.

"Say , how Prince Agrona meet you?" Mihaka asked as I sighed , having a memory of  that entire moment when he invade my nation. "He just invade my nation and threat me to be his fiancee. End of the story." "He's a nice Aniture I can say that." I turned to Nashira who have herself a sip of tea. "Unlike Alaistair , he gave a fully improvement of my language. And I can't fight back , hence I zipped my mouth and ignoring everything he said."

I could imagine a scene where she and Prince Alaistair debating high international vocabulary.

"Understatement much." "Kady was a very sweet Aniture I can say that." We both turned to Mihaka who's already in her daydream mode. "From the very moment he held my hand with his , I can felt an arrow struck in my heart ," She said as she laid on the cream puff , making me and Nashira a bit concerned about.  

Man , she was already in a phase where each other called fluffy , sweet nicknames. That's quick alright. 

"Whatever it takes , I'm still the worst. I'm the chosen bride to the Blood God." "Blood God?"I looked at Mihaka ,  answering ,"He was a famous one who kill a lot of innocent Anitures."  I said while Nashira opened her folded fan , 

"I say , Zinnex , you should give Agrona a chance. Who knows if the plot changed?" "H-He harmed my own father!" "But you don't know what's the real truth was , you can't blame since he brought him back." Before I could defend for my thought , Mihaka added , "We didn't even know that he was called the Blood God in my nation." I groaned for their disagreements as Osiris came over.

"Sorry for the interruption , ladies , but Agrona came to request for your existence , Lady Zinnex." I looked at the girls , who's eyes were written with 'Go on , give him a chance' . I sighed as I stood up from the chair , get rid the dust on my calf length skirt and followed Osiris to the blockhead.

Agrona's POV

I was writing a paragraph while my bone pen kept on breaking. This was like the sixth time when I broke a pen every time I wrote a word. Somehow , the conversation with my brothers kept spinning in my head...

"So.....who's the girl you brought?" I looked at Arkadius who pointed towards the well dressed ZInnex who's having a conversation with their maidens.

"She's a Lionard , Arkadius. Daughter of Baron Langford." I looked at my eldest brother suspiciously. Since when and how did he gather information that fast?

"I believe you had activated the force marriage method to get this girl. She seem to have an amount of hatred on you." Alright....he's very suspicious now....

"She had a mate? Since her boldness might attract some Aniture." Arkadius then asked.

"Well , I mean , she had a mate , but I told her to break up with him so yeah." I shrugged hwile impressed by my choice. That Clyde was probably crying in his bedroom now.

"A woman could value her first relationship like treasure. Not to mention , if she met you for the first time. Hence , she might doesn't have the sprout of love grew inside her. Unless it belongs to someone." this sentence of my brother was making very concerned about.

"Not to mention , brother , you haven't been in a courting phase for years." Arkadius said while placed his elbow on my shoulder. "I'm not the one who broke up to 10 or more maidens." "Come on , this was the one , trust me." Arkadius said while walked to the three maidens.

I grunted by the annoying voices in my head till Osiris knocked on my door.

"Agrona , I got her here." He said while letting Zinnex enter my office as he close the door shut.

She walked to me and glared at me with her ocean like eyes. " Hope no one's been playing pranks on you princess." I said while acting to be calm and continue writing as she started to wonder around the books on the shelves. "Princess?" 'H-Huh? Yeah , temporarily." She looked at me with a smile , which send a shiver down my spine and the seventh bone pen of mine was once again broke.

I looked at her who suddenly been so nice to me. Normally , she will bring up a debate with me. But she doesn't this time?...

I stood up quietly , not letting her notice that I was behind her now. She right now was suffering to get a book from the high place of the shelf. "Here let me help you." I said while reached out a book as she lifted up her head , having contact with me. The position she's in now was utterly adorable. 

"Thanks , Agrona." She once smiled , which was making me being much more concerned on. I quickly spun her around as I pinned her on the shelf. "What's wrong with you?" "What do you mean?" "You wouldn't call me by the name Agrona. When I ask you a question , there's a high chance you will bring a debate up. When I help you , you will answer me cruelly. What's wrong with you?"

"Do you really want me that way?" I looked at her confusingly. "You really think I want to do this. Seriously , Agrona! I had enough with you. I just want to get back home and get back to Clyde!" "Why that jerk , am I not good enough for you?!" I barked at her. 

"I didn't breakup with him like you ordered  , b-" I glared at her who accidentally spoken the truth. I smacked at the shelves next to her. Can't believe my brothers had actually predicted the truth...

"Leave."

"What?" She questioned.

"Leave! Didn't you always want to do that?! then , I shall fulfill you that wish! Leave!" I barked at her as I looked at her face of fright , watching her ran out of my office. I grunted as I leaned against my shelves and glided down to the ground.

"You good?" I looked up and found my brothers.

"Yeah..." I said while stood up from the ground and wiped the dust away from my cloth. "Man , I just going to compliment my girl to you now ,"I looked at my dumb second eldest brother. "She managed to convince to let Zinnex to give some trust on you , " I looked at Arkadius with widen eyes ,

"Zinnex had some issues on you but MIhaka trust her that she can change her thoughts on you," not believing what he just spoke , 

"Say , when we came , she ran away with her eyes became caramel colour , is she alright?" Arkadius questioned me while I leaned back to my chair. 

I can't believe I just barked at her.... All her suspicious actions...was just to change a thought of me....

"If you had told her to leave , better chase her back. It's getting dark and I believe they will come out any moment , " Alaistair said.

Them!

Oh no....

I quickly stood up from my chair as I rushed out to the gates.

She better haven't be outside the gates already....

Zinnex's POV

I looked at the blood dripping palm since i jumped out from the thorn surrounded gates. 

He doesn't think I would change.... 

Then let us be enemies for eternity....

I thought as I continued my journey to Lionards.

'Maybe I would let Clyde proceed the mark ritual on me , just in case he came back for me.' I thought as soon as I heard a howl around me.

I turned and found some more Paiogs that I saw before I was brought into the palace.

"H-Hey...." I greeted , hope they showed me mercy but they quickly sniffed me. "Hey! It's the girl who has the same smell as the old hag." "She's a Lionard , she gotta be the one." One of them said. 

"Wait... You Paiogs were the one who harmed my father?!" "First , yes. Second , we're not those dogs , " A Paiog , or not , walked to me and grabbed me by the throat , whispered into my ear , "We're the Chyenas..."

My eyes widened as I heard what he just said. There's always one hybrid that was much more cruel than a Paiog....

Chyenas.....

They have been committed much more crimes , and their fame was much more than the Blood God himself....

I quickly pushed him away by kicked him by the stomach. "Woah , a tough one huh?.... Boys , march on." The man who appeared to be a leader ordered as the Chyenas approached to me and started to attack me by drawing scars on me and even knock me to darkness. 

Before I was completely fainted into darkness , I can felt a sound of a skin ripping sound and painful howls. Before I was surrounded by darkness , I heard....

"Zinnex! Zinnex! Wake up!"
