Chapter 24

Agrona's POV

I groaned as Zinnex slammed the door shut. I quickly put back my Paiogs ears onto my head , just in case other Aniture came in and expose this information to the king , or my Father if I usually call. Before I get my way to chase Zinnex before she done something stupid , like I suspect before , a guard then rushed to me , whisper-yelled ,"Your highness , it's Lady Zinnex...."

I nodded in respond as he continue his speech , making my eyes widened and punched the wall , 

"She gotten into a sand storm and was nowhere to be found."

Zinnex's POV

"Urgh..... What...happened?...." I grunted by a pain on my head as I got up from wherever I am. I looked at my surrounding and found myself not in Paiogs or Lionards. 

I stood up on my feet as I walked to the window as I found myself literally on a platform house that was above the lake with other houses surrounded. A small percentage of the lake was also covered with newly bloomed locus flowers and fresh green leaves. The house was made with pieces of wood and bamboo. I rubbed my eyes by the sudden appeared sunlight that was covered up by thick clouds. I felt myself receiving glares from Anitures and I walked back to the bed and sat there.

"Oh Darling , you're awake." I looked up and found a hunched back woman standing behind me. She had white , red streaks among her bun tied black hair. She was dressed in a long sleeved robe in white and black trim with an addition of a belt and a pendant hanging. 

"Eh...Hey?" I greeted her awkwardly. "Are you alright dear? Man , the sand storm got you a lot right?" Sand storm? Oh- Right.... I did ran out from Paiogs and somehow got myself into a sand tornado. "Yeah....W-Where am I honestly? And did you save me?" the old woman chuckled and uttered 

"You're in the Water Walkers Land."

After she introduce herself as Mrs. Hing , she took me out around the Water Walkers' priority. The people was vegetarian friendly as she spoke. The Water Walkers Land were basically hybrids of red-crowned cranes and it's located on a lake at the east from the Paiogs and Lionards. They're endangered species before the Aniture ages. But now they have quite some population. As the conversation was carried on , the thought of 'Agrona was a Prince disguised human' had made not keeping an eye on the stairs.

But before I rolled down the stairs ,my arms were held by a pair of hands. I turned and found a man who's flying in the air with his wings flapping. He was dressed in a black long sleeve robe and his white hair and red streaks was tied into a ponytail. "T-thanks."I uttered as I stood back onto the ground and he landed on the stairs. 

"You're welcome , young lady!" He said happily. "Prince Soo , I thought you should be working on your papers , instead of flying around." Mrs. Heng said while Soo responded ,"J-Just let me see him once more , please." Soo begged while his eyes turned and questioned about my existence.

"Who's this funny looking creature?" I then pulled out my knife and charged into his face ,"Listen Pipsqueak , if I looked funny then you as well since we're both creatures that seems to not knowing each other. And the name's Zinnex Langford , feathery thing." He muffled his voice as he said constant 'sorry'. 

"S-Sorry , Lady Langford , Soo doesn't know his manners sometimes." Mrs. Heng said with a tone of worries as I released him and Soo right now was squatted next to a flower pot , sobbing of the incident just now. A lame face appeared on my skin as I walked to him and patted him by the shoulder , which only gave him a heart attack as he flew away with his crane feather's scattered in the air.

"Eh.....What?" "Sincerely apologize with that low-manner boy , this way , watch your step , Zinnex." Mrs. Heng said as she lead me a library like place. There's shelves of books and a Water Walker sitting in the middle of small platform of the room where bubbling water surrounding it. He was dressed in a white buttoned shirt with his long sleeves pulled up and a brown belt around his waist. His Water Walker symbolized wings were hidden behind his red cape. He lifted his head while moving his dark red hair to the side.

"Zinnex? Greetings , engaged maiden of Prince Agrona." He flew to me as he got down on one knee as he greeted me. "Zinnex , this was Xin. A fortune teller and therapist in our lands." I turned to Mrs. Heng when she said so.

Was she telling me.....

that I'm someone who needs f***ing therapist?

"So...why do I need to see this....therapist friend?" I said while trying to calm myself the fact that she brought me here. "It's a tradition , Lady Zinnex ," I turned to the white boy with my eyebrow raised ,"What?" "You heard me. It's a tradition where people outside of the Water Walkers need to check fortune to see if they have good luck in the future. Or else , they might be kicked out from the place."

 I mean-

I don't even f***ing know where am I? 

Guess I don't have a choice?

I walked to the chair like platform and sat there while Xin just sat on the other side , Mrs. Heng walked away , leaving personal space for us. "You left cause of the mark that Prince Agrona marked on your neck?" I flinched by his question but knowing I couldn't deny it. I nodded nervously as he just looked at me blankly and continue asking me questions.

"But , there's more than that right?" "Yeah but...rather not tell...," I uttered while looking away from him and having a short flashback of it....

"Y-You're a human?! This entire f***ing time?!" "Listen-" "I was engaged!To a human! I thought I could move on! And I was wrong!" I said while smacked the sword onto the ground as I walked out of the room. But before I do , he grabbed my wrist and hugged me by the waist.

"Are you...gonna forgive me for what I have hidden from you?" I thought of that question as I dragged his arms down , coldly said 'no' as my next plan was to runaway.

",....It's a personal issue." "Lady Zin-" I cut off his sentence , allowing him to call me by my name , "So...Zinnex , do you have any feelings grew upon him?" I froze by his question , and even coughed a bit , "I-I don't know? I mean , he's quite attractive I would say , but I was captured by him and not actually considered 'courted by Agrona Bergstorm' , so I will pass." I said while mentally my face was going all red.

"You're blushing , Zinnex." I immediately squealed in a incredibly high pitch ,"NO! NO! NO! I'M NOT!" "Then why are you denying? Unless you're trying to deny that pretty charming face of his." He said while clicked his tongue , making a scene of Agrona's face appear in my head , only making me blush more.

"I'M NOT! I MEAN- Ugh......" I massaged the bridge of my nose as I heard some noise by the door.

"Pleaseee let me meet him!"

"He's having a conversation with someone , Soo! Besides , you gotta finish the paperwork of yours!"

"Just let me in already!"

By the last sentence , a man busted in and hit me in the face , while screaming , 

"Xin Xin! My beloved!"
