Growl For Your Soul

Chapter 6

Zinnex's POV

I grunted as I felt myself on a much more comfortable position and place. I opened my eyes and found myself laying with cushions and I was on my bed by now. 'Ugh....What....' I got off from the bed and found Agrona laying on the couch with the first three button of his shirt not unbuttoned , revealing his muscular chest. But that's not my thing. A trained chest doesn't work for this girl.

I then dressed into a black calf length dress with red floral designs and black Mary Jane shoes that I found from nowhere. As I was tying my hair into a bun ,  a hand grabbed me by the wrist and spun me around as they pinned me on the mirror.

Anyone , but that blockhead.

He smiled evilly as he leaned to my ear. "Morning , how's the bed?" I pushed him away with my tail moving left and right. "You literally carried me to your bed , without asking me. How outrageous." "Well , how I tried to poke you awake , you are just like sloth. So , I just carry you to my bed. You seem better on a bed."

Did he....

Describe me as a sloth?!

I growled as I tried to pin the fella onto the ground. But instead , he placed his dirty hands on my waist as he pinned me on the bed. I did tried to push him away , but not to mention he's a fully trained prince , he seems harmless by my hard punches on the chest. 

"I gotta admit. You as a 17 years old Lionard girl , was much lighter than any girl I carried. Do you have food disorder?" "That does not matter. Now let me go , before anyone got i-" "Prince Ag-" As I predicted , a maid came in , watching us awkwardly.  "I'm making out with my bride and how dare you interrupted us." "We're not-" I tried to argue with him but instead he placed his lips on my spot covered neck , making me froze and gulped.

"Sorry!" She squealed and quickly slammed the door shut. "So... That Clyde didn't mark you I guess?" "He's not 'That Clyde' , he's Clyde Wind-" Before I can defend for Clyde , my mate , he once placed his lips on my neck , gliding up to my jaw. I gulped by his action but quickly pushed him away like what Father taught me , 'Push the boys away boldly , they deserve it if they broke a bone'.

"Never mind. At least we had an eye-to-eye conversation," He said while buttoned up his shirt and put on a red fur cape , "Father was probably requesting for us at the dining table. You head there first if you like to." I sighed and opened the door , but a pail of cold water was greeted with me. 

"What the freaking hell?!" I yelled as a bucket was smacked onto my head. I took out the pail from my head , noticing my hair has fell apart. "I spent all my time to get my hair done! Which peasant dare to-" "What's with the screaming , darling?" I turned and found Queen Iyuna with a line of servants behind her. 

"None of your business , cause some Aniture who poured water on me , which was the prank I hate for my eternity." I said while felt a towel on my head. I looked up and found Agrona who's rubbing my hair softly. "I see  , I will talk about this to my husband. But I have overheard a maid that you two were making out in there. Did you mark her , my son?" 

Is this queen kidding me?

"She had her sensitive spot on her leopard marks. Even though I did not succeed , but I shall one day." I glared at the prince while he then hid my face under the towel. "Oh that sounds amazing. Agrona my son , you are trying really hard for the throne. Keep on the good work." The crazy queen said while left with her line of servants looking at me with eyes full of disgust. 

"Are you alright? You seem to be soak in wet." "You think?! I was soaked in wet! WET! Something I could talk about for hours!" He then laughed while patted me on the head. "Great , now you can tell me how interesting was the topic 'wet'." I growled in low voice as he took me back in to change.

Agrona's POV

This was very strange alright....

Zinnex had seems to be facing several issues , and they're mostly related to her weaknesses.

Let's take an example....

While having breakfast , everything was fine , until Zinnex suddenly dropped her utensils and started growling and her lion tail was straightened up for no reason. "What's wrong with you , Lionard?! Your attitude have ruined my appetite!" While Mother was calming Father , I checked on Zinnex who's right now outisde of the dining room. And what she answer me was....

"You Paiogs really had strong tongue but I don't. The soup was too strong for me."

Or maybe another one....

While walking with her in the garden (well , I insist her to do so , obviously) , which was very close to the kitchen , a maid with handful of plates suddenly dropped them onto the ground , causing a loud crash happened. And Zinnex who was take a small look of those flame lilies that Father planted , after heard those noises , immediately sliced the lilies in half , right in front of my father. She said to my father....

"S-Sorry your majesty. It's just a loud sound happened I just freaked by that whole sudden..."

After all of these incidents , I think I can relate her to the fact that she might been pranked by several people. but who were they?....

I mean , I totally can't find help from Father. He had been furious with how Zinnex behaved this first ever day in Paiogs. I only can keep an eye on Zinnex more , since...that's what my mother told me to after getting some opinions from her. And of course , some more hacks to flirt her or whatever....

Seems like there's one left who can help me now....

Zinnex's POV

While walking with Agrona in the middle of the woods , spending with some green , I was completely focused on a white hibiscus flower as what that blockhead called. "Have you spend enough time with that flower , love?" I turned to him with a dark aura surrounding me. I have been through a terrible day today , can't he just leave me for a second?

"Okay , okay , you continue." He said while walking away , giving peace and space. I sighed while continue staring the gorgeousness. Till then , something moving in the grass had caught my attention. I stood up from my squatting position , walking to the quivering grass. Suddenly , a green object jumped out , making me hissed with my hand on the ground , back arched back , ears flattened and tail swinging left and right.

"What in the world are you doing?" I quickly stood up from my ground as I heard Agrona behind me. I looked down as I noticed that green cucumber next my feet. 'Stupid cucumber.' "Excuse me?" I turned to him. 

'Did i say it aloud?' I thought while quickly giving him an reasoning of this. "N-No! It's not that I'm calling you a cucumber! I was just-" Before I can explain myself to him , he suddenly pulled me under his lifted up cape as he covered me from another pail of water. "You...alright?" I looked up , staring into his yellow eyes. "Y-yeah , I'm-AH!" "Hey Agrona! I caught the- Oh..." An Aniture came in from nowhere had made me hissed for the jump scare as I jumped into Agrona's arms.

"I appreciate with the help , Osiris. But , the fact that I thought I told you not to increase your volume?" "Gee dude , appreciate with the help , "He said while turned to me , "Sorry Lady Zinnex. Habit made me." He apologies in his raspy voice.

'Well....it's the first time who addressed me as a lady on Paiogs...'I thought while Agrona said , "I hope I don't need to take you back in this position...Princess." I blinked a second  , as I looked at my position.

Bridal style  , in the blockhead's arms.

I quickly jumped off from him , saying "I got paws on my own feet!" "Dude , this girl of yours sure got some temper issues." The Aniture joked while I examined his appreance.

He was a muscular and tall Aniture. Grey curvy horns was found among his dark brown curly short hair. His black almond-shaped eyes was full with wonder. There's a circular silver nose piercing hanging at the septum of his bronze colour nose and a medium stubble beard. His arms was full with small black horizontal stripes. 

He wore a full set of polished armour with the Paiog symbol in the middle of the armour  , a black cape hanging behind his back and his brown tail. A sword belt hung around his waist and a sword attached to it. 

"Zinnex , meet my friend  , Osiris Alexas. He's a hybrid of a buffalo and blue wildebeest. Also general of Paiog." "It's my honour to meet you , Lady Zinnex." He bowed after me while I gave him a curtsy. "Eh... what's that in the bag?" I asked as Agrona spun me around , saying he's going to take me back to our room. 

'Well , that's suspicious...'

Agrona's POV

"You , why are you setting up pranks on Zinnex Langford?" I questioned the prankster who appears to be the Paiog maid that dropped the plates onto the ground by accident earlier. She looked at me and quickly looked away with a pink blush on her face. "Answer the prince as he asked!!" "Osiris. get your temper right." "Yeah  , the most generous and kindest Prince Agrona was right. Get your temper right on this fine maiden here."

"What's with that attitude of yours , low class peasant?!" Osiris exclaimed. "Prince Agrona , hope you deal with the one angry general. He was scaring me..." She said with a very disgusting tone. "Why are you setting up pranks on Zinnex Langford?" "That's not important , my prince..." "Answer me!" I yelled while smacked the arm of my throne.

"Ugh... I have a connection with you! I can't believe that you rather choose a pesky cat over me?! I clearly had much potential than that peasant!" I stood up from my throne , walked to the girl. "You know why I choose her over you?" She shook her head but looking at my eyes dreamily. I then grabbed her by the throat , saying them hardly , "Despite she's a Lionard , but she had much more potential than you. Not to mention , she was a good behavior girl , better than someone who tried to throw dirt on her." I said while pushed her down.

"Osiris buddy. Mind to take her where she should belong now?" "With pleasure , my highness." He said while dragged the maid to her now prison. While hearing that maid who's screaming for mercy , a thought had sprouted out from my head.

'I really had to be aware with those who had bad thoughts to deal with Zinnex...'

"Dude , you are very protective with Lady Zinnex." , Osiris said while walking back to our own chamber. "I mean , my mother has my eyes on me if I don't be protective. She seems to have a huge liking on Zinenx." I said while Osiris stopped me. "What now ,Os?" "Do you have actual feelings on her? I mean , you chose to save her by making yourself getting all wet in water." "I mean , she had enough with the pranks lately. Besides , it's just water. No big deal." 

Osiris looked at me mischievously , as he placed his hoof on my shoulder , saying that he'll trust with that.

As I got back in my room , I once again found Zinnex herself who's laying on the couch once again with soft snores. I looked at her peacefully face as I picked her up in bridal style and placed her on the bed with the sheets on her. I then walked to her case that was full with her belongings. Here's a small pink cactus flower in there , which I assume that it's a gift of that Clyde to let her remember.....

I walked to her as I slowly combed her hair while hearing her soft snores.

'She was a good choice to be queen , I just need her to be comfortable with Paiogs now...' I thought as my eyelids getting heavier....
