Chapter 20

Zinnex's POV

Finally back on Paiogs! My life on the sea was finally ended. Man , the sea was sick to this cat.

"ZINNYYYYY!!!" Mihaka yelled as she flew to me and pushed me onto the hoard. "For lord sake's , Mihaka! You really gotta learn how to fly into people's face." I said as she pulled me up , and constantly apologizing. "She was mumbling about you every second. Thank goodness , you've return and my ears shall rest for the rest of the day." Nana said while covering her face as usual with her fan.

"You should visit Meraks someday and realized how much better I was compared to them." "Heh , I like to try." Nashira joked as we're brought back into the palace. "I don't mind if you didn't bring us any souvenirs , but where does that choker of yours came from?" "Oh this? The jellyjerk gave it to me on the days when we returned from Pandlings. Got a question with it?" 

"Just that-" "Nashira." I turned and found Alaistair asking her to accompany her to somewhere. "Never mind , talk later." I waved goodbye as Nana was dragged away. 'Well , perhaps I should be busy with the cleaning.' I thought as I walked back to my room.

"Oh you're still here?" "I mean- This was our room , Zinnex." Agrona said while choosing a outfit in his closet. "Oh , yes. I forget about it." As I uttered that sentence , he grunted painfully. "You...good?" "Argh , being sad for you forgetting that we had a shared room." I rolled my blue eyes as he walked to me , trapping me between. "Am I suppose to make you to remember in the best way?" "What do you mean by tha-" 

Right when I was being questioned by his suggestion , he placed his nose on my skin , sniffing once again- "No! No! Anything but not that!" I said while pushed him by the chest , he instead hold me by the chest , whispering cheesy pickup lines while gave a soft bite to my ear. "Should I leave some of you for supper tonight?" "Okay , okay , I will remember that this was our shared room. Just let me change." I sighed as I walked to my changing room.

I walked out of the dressing room in a black dress with puff long sleeves and gold trim around the waist and criss-crossed ones on the sleeve. There's a layer of red fabric around my waist while my hair was tied into a messy bun with the choker he gave around my dark skin tone neck. "I thought I had to-" Before Agrona could pull out a pick up line , he was probably stunned by the sudden gorgeous of mine.

"Got a problem?" "N-Nothing," He said while placed his hands on my cheeks and cupped them , "Come back earlier , you might get an extra meal for the day~" My face flushed as I felt my walls tightened. "Quit the howl , you jellyjerk!"

For a certain reason , almost every maid who saw me whispered behind my back , making me being uncomfortable by the quick second. 'Why are they staring at me? Was it because there's something on my face? Stop the staring-' As my mind was flooded with negative thoughts , I was quickly bumped into someone. "Argh.... Zinnex?! Oh lord, Agrona was sure killing me...." "Don't jump into conclusion quickly , brother." I looked up and found Agrona's two elder brothers in front of me. "Zinnex! What are you doing with that face of terror?" "It's just..." I uttered while turned to the maids who then looked away from me. 

"The maids seem to be talking something relatable to me , making me distracted a bit and bumped into you." "I'm sure that there are no rumours related about you , Lady Zinnex , you just thought-" Alaistair said as he suddenly stopped and glared at me. "Alaistair?Are you-" "Excuse me." He said while dragged Arkadius away.

'Did I done something wrong?...' I thought as I walked away with a huge sadness inside me.

Agrona's POV

While I was signing the contracts that I missed for that whole useless journey , my mind somehow filled up with Zinnex and her flirt that night. 

"Agron , is there a rainstorm out there?"She uttered as I looked out the window. She instead turned me back , and placed her lips on my neck , "Man , you're making me so wet..." She said as soon as she fell into slumber and even some snores came out.

'Man , what's wrong with me?...' "Prince Agrona?" I looked at the minister , who told me to look at the contract for a second. I looked at it and found I signed Zinnex's name instead of mine , I grunted by this stupid mistake as I massaged the bridge of my nose. "Prince Agrona , do you need a minute rest? You seem exhausted." He asked full of concern. "No , there's still a lot." I said while crumbled the paper and grabbed a new one from the minister.

"AGRONA! YOU NEED SOME EXPLANATION!" I looked at Alaistair who came in with his paper files and Arkadius in his grasp. "Alaistair , can't you see that I'm busy-" "Dismiss the minister. There's something more important than him." I waved my hand as I dismissed the minister , looking at my brothers confusingly, "So , what's that important than my paper works that I had missed for weeks?"

"Why does Zinnex has a choker around her neck?" "That's the reason? Heh , I thought you realised that I had stole tones of bone pens of yours in your office." I joked as I drank my tea , "Did you actually ask her for marriage?!" Arkadius asked with sparks in his eyes. "Ugh...No? But that will soon be reality." I said while looking at my Alaistair who smacked the table , causing the table to fly.

"You know how much the throne meant to me , and you are against me." "I like to see you try , brother." I aid while toasted to him with my teacup , "Ugh! Arkadius , let's go!" He grunted as he walked out my office , followed by Arkadius saying , "Congrats anyway!"

"Your highness....Do you need a renovation for the table?" "Yes , then I still got work to do." I said as Mother walked in , "Agry , I just saw Alaistair- Oh my bones , what's all of this?" "Mother? What do you need?" 

"So.... I heard some rumours in the palace about you and Zinnex." She said while several workers brought in a new table and tea. "Have you told her about the definition of choker necklaces in Paiogs?" "Haven't , mother. But she admit it to other nations , so I had to do so." "You had to tell her about it. Otherwise , she had no idea and being depress since the entire palace knows about it." Mother said , made me a bit self blame.

"If you dare to blame yourself once more , you shall be dinner when we head back to Paiogs." 

"Sure , mother...." I uttered as Mother sat next to me and hugged me tight. "You will be fine , my pup," She said while pinched me by the cheeks , "Besides , I want Lionard and Paiogs grand-kids." "Mother!"

I looked at the door , nervously , prepared my speech to talk to Zinnex. I sighed as I pushed the door open , found Zinnex who's dressed in a white gown , looked at me while wiping her tears. "A-Agrona? Y-You came back." I walked to her as I looked at teary face , "W-What's wrong?" "It's just....everyone in the palace was talking about something... I felt terrible , if they're saying bad things about me..."

I patted her on the head , as I look at her , "Look there's something that I had to admit..."

Zinnex's POV

"H-Huh?" I said as he suddenly placed his lips on me , "We have a tradition in Paiogs ,"One , "that chokers in here ," Another one ,"Means Engagement." 

After I rearrange his sentence , I was shocked by what he just spoke , "WHAT?! I was- Why don't you tell me?!" "I was....just being a bit awkward if you said no. Not to mention , Alaistair was catching up behind my back ," I looked at him with a face with no choice , "Will you....accept the engagement?" He asked while leaned to me. 

"Yes , if you promise not to hide anything from me anymore..." He smiled as he placed a caress on me , and walked away.

"Wait , where are you going?" "Heh , sleep , darling , or do you want supper?" I was flustered by his respond but my mind was clear as water , "You can sleep with me..." 'What?" "I mean," I said while positioned myself , "We're engaged and we tried this back on the ship so..."

By a quick second , he was on the bed , with a smirk upon his charming face. "I thought you never ask~" He said as he caressed me and flopped his skull onto the pillow.

'Mother.... perhaps ,' I laid down to the bed as I looked into the skies , 'This won't be that bad after all...' I thought as I fell into deep sleep.

'This is bad...This is bad...' I thought as I flew back to the sanctuary and report to the king.

"Your majesty! They're engaged! I saw it with my own eagle eyes!" I exclaimed his majesty was still playing with his claws. "Oh....really? How disappointing..." He said calmly while walked to the wall , "Your majesty , how you can be so calm?!"

"Unlike you , this was none of your business! I hire you to be a message bird , not to be me!" He yelled as I looked to my shoes , "If she had disappointed me..... Then I shall disappointed her too...." he uttered as he yelled , "Send a message to Paiogs , the game was on , and she will be mine by the time being..."
