Chapter 29

Zinnex's POV

"Love? Kitty~ Wake up." I grunted by the noise but found it's none other but Agrona himself , I let down my morning tantrum and hummed in respond. He then placed a soft caress on my forehead , uttered "Happy Birthday , my Goddess." 

Oh right.... Today's my birthda- Wait a salmon... I got up looked at him , "How did you- Did i even tell you about it?" "Well , obviously it's my mother." He said awkwardly while I chuckled by his respond and gave him an Eskimo kiss. "Thanks Love." "Y-You're welcome." He stuttered while I secretly grabbed a cushion by the side and pulled out a pillow war with him.

"Take that!" I yelled as I smacked Agrona in the face. "Oh...So this is how you celebrate your birthday huh? Well....Too bad to tell you that I'm King of Pillow War!" He yelled as he smacked me with a pillow once more. "H-Hey!" I squealed when he pushed me onto the bed as we laughed so loud. I looked at Agrona who's on top of me and felt my cheeks were heated up.

"B-but seriously , happy birthday love," He said while placed a caress on my head ,"The palace had planned a celebration for you." I looked at him with widened eyes , but he returned me with curious eyes. "Haven't you celebrate any of your birthdays?" "I mean ," I stroked my chin , thinking about that question , "maybe?" 

I never think of such question honestly. Have I? Hm.....

5th birthday : "Sorry , honey. I might be busy , so it might not be possible to celebrate your birthday."

10th birthday : "Sorry , honey. I might be on a business trip , so it might not be possible to celebrate your birthday."

15th birthday : "You have Clyde right? Then you will be celebrating your birthday without me. It had been years we celebrate together." "Oh , was it? Eh , sorry , I have to head to a royal meeting."

They had been pushing me away from them. We never spend a single day together. Father was always being busy with his business , Clyde haven't celebrate a single birthday since we started courting. They're the first reason I dreamed to leave Lionards and explore the world. I mean , at least I might meet some friends and they maybe remember my birthday....

I never expect that I will found the thing I always wanted in the nation of my enemy that then turned out to be my new home....

While I was drown in my thoughts , a hand suddenly touched my cheeks. I looked at Agrona who's worrying , I quickly wiped my tears and smiled at him ,"Man , emotions get into me..." "I promise I'll made it up to you. Trust me."He uttered while pressed my forehead against his and gave a warm caress. "Thanks Agrona."

After I was dressed in those long sleeve green dress with platform shoes and walked out my room , I was immediately greeted with feathers and squeals. "Happy birthday , sister from other nation!" "Hehe , thanks Mihi." I cuddled with her as soon as Nashira mumbled "We're gonna be late for breakfast". I grabbed Mihi's wrist while she grabbed Nashira's as we both ran to the dining room with high speed.

"Hey , are you trying to show mercy on me cause today's my birthday?" I questioned the guards since their attack skills was much more weaker than usual. They looked at each otehr while chuckling awkwardly ,"So , we're busted huh?" "Oh , definitely. Come on , I need to see how much have my strength improved being 18 the first day." I said while offered the challenge as they set in their fighting position once more.

"Zinnex , are you sure to spend your lunch time here instead with the royal family?" Osiris questioned me while I proceed having a full spoon of pumpkin pie. "I mean , I enjoy spending my lunch time with conversations of other stuff instead of politics. Besides , pumpkin pie was on the menu , how could I possibly say no to this?" As I said , the guards laughed and cheered for my brilliant choice. We have spent that much time together that they know my written story and my favourite things.

"Lady Zinnex , a letter from Prince Agrona himself." I turned with my fork in my mouth as I was handed a letter with a red stamp that represent Agrona. I was surprised this voiceless message from Agrona himself who would usually come to meet up with me face-to-face. I opened the letter and found written , 

"Darling Zinnex ,

          Forgive me for using such way to communicate. Of course , you might have been upset without having contact with my face. Anyway , I hope you'll make your attendance at the Mount of Blossom by the sunset. Don't worry about the outfit , I had placed it on the table. Hope to see you there , my Blood Goddess.

Heh , still being a flirtatious one , ain't he? I chuckled by his message as long as Osiris snatched the letter from me and started teasing me with its content. "Aww , my Blood Goddess~ Agrona was sure the most romantic after meeting with you~" I hit him by the chest while giving a treat in the face and snatching my letter. "Shut up. He was just being a sweet fella." I uttered as I walked away with the words in my head from my dear loved one.

"Woah....This was amazing..." I uttered as I found myself an path with a rose trellis and bushes of white lilies along the way. I picked up my black one-shoulder knee length dress with a golden skull head pin and gold trim as my feet that was wrapped with black heels stepped into the magnificent scenery. My skin was glowed with the sun's golden rays and so is my choker pendant.

As I made it to the tree , I was shocked by the scene. A red with white plaid cloth was placed under the tree and bouquets of roses were found there too. Small sized pearls was found laying on the ground as well with rose petals scattered. I was shocked by the scene that my ears couldn't sensed a single step or leaves crushed. I was soon lifted up into the air as soon as I found Agrona behind me.

He was dressed in his fur attached red cape with a black undershirt and pants. The jewels of his gold crown was reflected under the golden rays as so is his gorgeous human eyes. I cupped his cheeks and gave him a Eskimo kiss. "You did this? For me?" He hummed and nodded in response as he hugged me by the waist as he placed me on his laps , admiring the sunset together.

"How much I wish time could stop by now , we gotta head to the par-" As the sun set , I have actually decided to leave the scene but was quickly stopped by Agrona who hold me tight in his grasp as I was pulled onto his lap once again as he nuzzled his face on my neck. "D-Darling?" "Zinnex....it's..been some time since we're together right?" By his question , I started playing my fingers , uttered "2 months at least? Why did you ask?" I looked at his flushed cheeks as he opened his mouth and closed it back.

"Oh well , since you got nothing to say , I'll guess we have to-" I said as I stood up once more , but my wrist was pulled by someone. I turned and found Agrona got down on one knee which made me flushed by now. "A-Agrona?" "Zinnex....it's been.... 2 months as you said...since we met each other," He uttered while pulled a shell in his grasp ,"I know things had been through a lot between us. But... just.... Would you accept...my hand in marriage?" He said while a ring with the finest jewel I ever saw was attached onto. I covered my mouth by shock and tears pooled in my eyes.

"I know it might be a bit too rush but.....*sigh*I don't really know how relationship go honestly-" "Yes..." he looked me into the eyes , held my hands tight ,"R-Repeat if you may , my love?" "Yes , I would accept your hand in marriage , Agrona!" I said with my tears rolled down my cheeks. He placed the ring on my finger as he stood up and gave me a rough kiss as reward.

"Imagine how would my mother felt about this?" "I'm used to how my mother-in-law react to our sweet moves , my husband." I said while moved his hair away from his face as he brought me back to the party.

'Can't this be the best birthday ever?....'

Alaistair's POV

"Which worm was disturbing your mind , my intelligent one?" I looked at Nashira who's in bed in her nightgown , revealing the freckles upon her face. "N-Nothing my love." "Get some rest okay?" She said as she gave a kiss and head to slumber.

'Agrona was engaged! Then Zinnex took his hand in marriage! They'll steal the throne of Paiogs! This was unfair! why god had to do this to me?! I have not done anything wrong!' I thought as a tap on the balcony had caught my attention. I walked without disturbing the love of my life and found no one but a letter and a figure of clumsy flying hybrid in the air. 

As I read the letter , thinking about the consequences that might happen and beneficial me , looking at Nashira , remembering the promise I made to her , I walked to my desk as I lightened up a candle , wrote ,

                                                       "I shall accept the alliance."
