"El, wake up now. School starts today," Dad said knocking on my already opened door, I let out a groan as I sit up. Looking at my nightstand I look at the time to see it's already seven o'clock. I took a quick bath before changing into some shirt and jeans. "El, Seb is here," dad called out as I grab my bag and phone, "be right down," I called out as I grab a clip off my table.
"What do you want for breakfast?" Dad asked as I went in the kitchen to see everyone else there, "I'll just have cereal," I said as I sit beside Seb who is looking at me, "what?" I asked as I put my bag down on the floor, "nothing," he said with a sigh as he shakes his head, "weirdo," I mumbled as dad gives me a box of cereal, "thanks dad," I said giving him a smile as I pour some cereal before adding milk in.
"How was the movie yesterday?" Dad asked, "barely watched the movie because the theater was so loud and the guy beside me, ugh I don't even want to think about it," I said as my face pales at the thought of what happened yesterday.
I look at my phone to check some unanswered messages and see a new number.
This is Zach, save my number.
I save his number under the name Zach before checking my other messages, "how can someone in your grade still not pass second year math?" I asked Sebastian as I answered the message of my math teacher Ms. Walker who asked me to tutor a senior who's still in second year math.
"Hon, not everyone is great at math," dad said with a smile, "of course, sorry," I said before putting my phone down, "your tutoring someone in my grade?" Sebastian asked, "yeah, but Ms. Walker said that he's willing to pay so why not."
I quickly finish breakfast before saying goodbye to dad and get in Sebastian's car as we both head to school. "Starting next year I'd have to start walking to school," I said, "you'll manage," Sebastian said with a smile as he pulls up at school.
"I can't believe I'm saying this but I miss this place," I said, "yeah? You'll start hating it soon," he said with a laugh, "ha ha, no need to burst my bubble so soon," I said as I opened my locker, "the only class we share is music on Thursdays right?" Sebastian asked.
"Yeah," I said just as the bell rings, "I'll head to class now, bye," I said waving at him, he waves right back at me just as I bump into someone, "oh sorry," I said as they hold me steady, "easy there Eloise," I look up to see Zach.
"Oh hey," I said just as the second bell rings, "bye," I said as I start running.
Half of the day wen by in a flash and the teachers looked more lifeless than the students, "anyway that's all for today class," my chemistry teacher said as the lunch bell rings, "enjoy your lunch."
"Bye sir," I said as I went out of the room and saw Sebastian waiting for me in the hall, "did you wait long?" I asked, "just got here," he said as he grabs my books, "thanks," I said as we head to the cafeteria.
"Hey Eloise," I turn to see Zach, "oh hey Sebastian," Zach said after seeing Sebastian, "oh you guys know each other?" I asked as we stand in line in the cafeteria, "we share most of our class," Sebastian said, "ohh, that's nice. Seb what are they serving today?" I said.
"They have chocolate cake today," he said, "want me to buy one for you?" he asked, "that's fine, I have my lunch money today," I said patting Zach's shoulder, Sebastian raise his eyebrow at us.
"Yesterday I accidentally-"
I quickly covered Zach's mouth, confusing Sebastian more, "don't listen to him," I said to Sebastian before pulling Zach's head down, "if you tell others about what happened yesterday, I swear I will make sure that you don't pass math," I whispered in his ear.
"Math?" He asked as I let go of him, "the one Ms. Walker referred to you this morning is Zach?" Sebastian asked, "yeah she told me this morning during first period," I said as we get closer in the line. "Your my tutor?" Zach asked.
"Got a problem with that?" I said looking at him, "El," Sebastian said handing me a tray, "thank you," I said as Zach poked my arm, "get me a tray too," he said, I hand him my tray before asking Sebastian to give me one again.
"I'll have the bread roll, juice box, chocolate cake and watermelon," I said, Sebastian puts the things I mentioned on my tray before we paid for our food.
As we sat down on an empty table, Zach sits down with us, "aren't you gonna seat down with your friends?" Sebastian asked as I start on eating my bread roll.
"They can have lunch without me," Zach said glancing at a table behind him, peeking over his shoulder I could see them looking at Zach, "is he the popular type?" I whispered to Sebastian.
"Yeah he's the president of the photographers club," Sebastian whispered back and I nod my head as I look back at Zach who is looking at us with his eyebrows furrowed. "What?" I asked.
"Are you guys dating?"
Bonus *earlier*
"Bye," Eloise said as she runs towards her first class, Zach grins at her retreating figure before looking at Sebastian who is still there, "I already said to back off," Sebastian said.
Zach shrugs his shoulder, "I don't really have a reason to listen to you," he said, "aren't you running late?"
"How about you?" Sebastian asked back, Zach rolls his eyes, "whatever, it's useless talking to a brick wall." Zach makes a move to walk past Sebastian but Sebastian got in his way, "back off."
"She's not yours Sebastian, not yours," Zach said walking past him.
"She won't be yours either," Sebastian called out, Zach stops in his steps, "she won't be yours, she'll never be yours," he said.
Zach turns around and said, "wanna bet on it?"
