My name echoed in several disbelieving but loving whispers before the room fell silent and all wide eyes were upon me. Jace and Madeline jumped up, but I motioned for them to sit back down as I walked over to take my seat beside my bonded protector.
“Welcome back, Raven,” Jace greeted me with a relieved smile, warming my heart, “It is good to see you and looking so well. Your timing is perfect...been quite an interesting conversation.”
“It’s good to see you too,” I warmly replied, “Thank you for letting me know The Council was making their appearance. Seems it is exactly what I needed to hear to bring me back where I belong.”
“It is obvious that you are deeply connected with Jace,”
