Four I woke some time before dawn. The room was still dark, but I wasn’t sure at first what woke me. That was until someone or something moved beside me. Tentatively I put out a hand. My fingertips touched warm skin. I jerked them back. Which of the guys had— “Hey.” The voice which whispered to me was a new one, deeper still than the other two. “Damon?” A flash of white teeth. “The one and only.” “Um, should I leave?” I started to push the covers back. I wasn’t sure if I could go back to sleep, but I could lie down on Teddy’s couch and rest. “Please don’t.” He put a hand on my arm. My heart skipped a beat. I didn’t know if that was because of what I was told about him, or because of animal attraction. “You felt that too, didn’t you?” he asked softly. “Like a jolt of electricity.”
