Foreword
With the heart-wrenching conflict in Ukraine quickly escalating day by day, the Romantic Fantasy Shelf (RFS) administration team wanted to do something to help. Many in the RFS community have ties to Ukraine, live in that region, or are otherwise affected by the horrific actions committed against the Ukrainian people. In response, we—along with many others in the indie author community—have come together to offer our support in the best way we knew how: by writing, and writing, and writing. The result is the organization of this charity anthology.
The Fierce Hearts charity anthology is a collection of short stories, novellas, novels, and story excerpts within the romantic fantasy and fantasy romance genres. Stories range in heat level from mild to scorching.
Our goal with this anthology is to raise money for humanitarian efforts on behalf of the Ukrainian people. All of the authors included within these pages have demonstrated their support for this effort by providing a story without compensation. Additional volunteers within the community, including the RFS administration team, have generously donated their time, money, knowledge, and skills to help make this anthology possible. All proceeds (100%) will be donated to the International Rescue Committee. They have confirmed that they will coordinate with us directly to ensure that the proceeds are sent to the appropriate location and support the stated purpose of this anthology.
