I found myself curled on the chaise lounge in the corner of our massive royal chamber, my neck twisted in a way that only came from sleeping wrong on a piece of expensive furniture clearly meant for decoration, not comfort. The first thing I noticed was the light. Soft, golden, and annoying. The second thing I noticed or, rather, felt was a stare. Heavy. Intense. Scorching through my sleep-addled mind. I cracked one eye open, just to be sure I wasn't imagining it. I wasn't. Aiden. Standing there. Shirtless. Tall. Ridiculously broad-shouldered. And the worst part? He wasn't even trying to be intense. No, he just stood there, like he hadn't been watching me sleep like a total creep. "Good morning, my dear Luna," he said, voice deep and infuriatingly smooth.
