Lucy’s POV “Excuse me, I gotta take this.” Uncle Chester got up from the dining table and left the room, everyone going silent again at the tense atmosphere. “Hun, you need to go too.” Aunt Jude finally said as she patted Uncle Axel’s arm. “You’re bringing down the mood.” “Am not.” He growled at her, making her raise an eyebrow at him. “… fine.” He sighed and left as well, everyone letting out a collective sigh. “Damn… Are all family dinners this dramatic?” Suzy asked as she leaned closer to me. “Nah, most of the time it’s just catching up and light teasing with dirty jokes.” “Aha.” She shook her head and smiled. “I lucked out then.” “How long have you known?” Grace leaned closer to me too as her other sisters were conversing, all of them stopping and staring at me when she asked.
