Benedict, the girl and Luci, the man, travelled to Luci’s castle in this old timey land. Both were silent on the long walk; a walk because Luci didn’t think that it was the right time to introduce he vampiric nature. Both were silent and both were thinking. Luci thought of his next steps. He thought a million miles a minute, as all vampires do, about what to do with a young person, what to do with a human, what to do with a girl... he thought a lot of things. Benedict, however, thought just as fast and about just as much. Her thoughts were less easy to put into words, and were more abstract thought. They were about things like where she was, what was happening, and just generally trying to piece together the life around her. Growing up in the streets she never felt safe, but she questioned why it was a man like this was able to help her calm down enough, and feel safe enough, to tell him her name, and to go home with him. These were new steps for both of them and both had much to think over. Eventually, after a long silent walk full of thoughts, they arrived at a grand castle. Luci looked over at Benedict to see what she thought, but she was oddly not filled with awe. While she did find it amazing, she also didn’t think it could all be real, so her awestruck nature at that around her, was lessened. That’s what happens to people who never have much in the world. Things begin to lose their realness, and they often believe that the lack of things is all they’ll ever get. Luci used that moment to touch her again, and grabbed her hand. She was startled at first, but looked at him calmly, her mind clear. He didn’t know whether she spoke out loud or not, but both of them had powers of thought, so speaking telepathically was what they did Do you like it, Benedict? It’s pretty Would you like to stay here with me? It’s different than what you know, but you’re special and I like you. I don’t know. Benedict stopped speaking to him and clouded over in thought. Luci would have his hands full, trying to convince this darling girl that he meant not harm, and she was allowed to let her guard down. She may seem sweet and straightforward, but she was also timid and guarded. The two of them entered the castle and Luci prepared to show her around.
