The beginning. (With extra begin)

596 Words
Narrator’s view A small childlike creature was born to large adult creatures. Because that is how the world works. The child was unloved because if she had been loved, then this story would not exist. The child was abandoned and grew up on the streets, facing life by the charity of the other street dwellers. The child spent 15 years on the street, and by that point was practically an adult, although she may not have looked it on the outside. It is important to note this was the time period where the marrying age was around 15 and the dying age was closer to 45. So, as far as things are going forwards, to say that anyone was wrong for anything of another year, is to forget that this year happened. While she still received pity in the streets, her hopes were far gone to receive anything more. Being an adult in society, that is. For a penniless adult is one who doesn’t try. And it is at this time, the child, at the end of her luck, is to get a miracle. If anyone can call it that. Perhaps it is better it never happened at all. It was an alleyway. She sat huddled and cold against the wind. It is also notable to note that it was a winter month. She was not noticed in her alley, but she would soon notice another. For a shadow appeared in the alley, with the now corpse of a man. The shadow being the one who made the corpse a corpse. Because he was a vampire. And that is what vampires do. The child; the “adult,” heard the noise of the body hitting the ground of the alley, saw it dropped, and saw the shadowy figure hanging over it. Not good. She immediately huddled up more, and pretended it never happened. But the man, the “live” one, saw the movement, and was over by her in a second. However, while he was expecting another meal, he didn’t end up taking it. For instead of an easy meal, it looked like a sad little girl that for the reason of plot magic, made him feel like he needed to hold onto her. So he reached out to comfort the poor little girl, instead of sucking her blood out. What he got was a barrage of scared thoughts and feelings as the girl projected her jumbled mind at him. He immediately took his hand off her, as it stopped, and he realized she had magical powers. Reaching out to touch her again, he linked to her mind and let her know who he was. Hello dearie. I am.... he paused call me Lucius The girl was frightened that she hears voices in her head, but the voice was so sweet, that she wasn’t too bothered by it Benedict She lets him know her name as well. That is at least, a name one of the gracious angels that had helped her grow up had given her. Named after, of course, some great Saint who had helped others or something like that. An irony name. He, the man, Luci, liked it regardless. As her mind had calmed down, he thought it acceptable to try and urge her to come join him in his castle. Because vampires have castles. He wanted her for her powers, of course, but he didn’t need to tell her that. Her, having no where else to go, and being in need of some free food, accepted. So that is what happened in the beginning, and how the main characters first meet.
