I tried my very best to stop myself from letting my tears down again. I stayed tough in front of Elijah who's giving me a pity look now.
I sighed heavily. "Thank you," I said. "Thank you for the help."
"You're going to give up just like that?"
I gulped. "The audition is done, Elijah. There's nothing else I can do."
I fixed my clothes and walked past him. But before I could take another step, his arm already got to stop me.
I stopped. Even my heartbeat stopped.
He didn't speak. I was waiting for him to say something but no words came out of his mouth. No one talked between us. I didn't either because I don't have anything to say to him.
I feel weak and heartbroken right now that I don't think I can speak another word to him other than saying thank you.
