I stood leaning against the entrance of the underground home gym, silently watching Aldric as he pounded the punching bag hanging from the ceiling with his bare fists.
We returned to Night Crescent territory two nights ago. After what happened with Thorin—by that, I mean the whole challenge thing—Aldric insisted we leave Red Dawn and head back home the next day after sorting things out with Silas.
An alpha's challenge battle usually takes days to happen and is normally set a few days from the day the challenge is issued. This gives both parties enough time to prepare for the fight and also allows the chance for either party to admit defeat and back out of the challenge, just in case they decide to forfeit.
